I wish our government had good subsidies for electric scooters. It's more realistic to buy a good and nice electric scooter around $1k than $50k Tesla or many other inflated electric cars. IMO, this would help the planet more if we can educated the people and build better infrastructure for public transport and bikes in general. But everything we do lately is so backwards. Sorry for making it too political

That rating is going to be best case.

Real life example: I weigh 210 lbs, took it 4 miles in sport mode, with some steep hills this past weekend, and it used 35% battery.

A scooter uses less than 1/100th of the raw materials that an average car uses, if we are talking about perspective.

Average car weight: 4094 pounds.
For simplicity, we'll say the average scooter weight is 40.9 pounds, but it's probably lighter.

Meanwhile it's happening right in front of you, and in half that time. 100GW (not a typo) of solar w/batts will be built in Texas in next 5 years… that's 25% more than our current demand and half of all planned US capacity. Amazing how deregulation allowed for that.

Our current ERCOT mix is already 30% renewables! …and increasing twice as fast as the next best operator.

So yah, it's happening, but sure, hide, naysay, and watch if you prefer.
where do you think solar panels come from? lol you can't be this clueless...

bad experience with their customer service on 2 dead scooters. Careful and get a 3rd party warranty at a minimum.

Why be sorry? There's not a single lie or unreasonable statement. More people should be thinking like this. Or at least thinking.

Bikes seem great (honestly)

The one area where e-scooter shines over e-bikes are size. It's a lot easier to toss a scooter in your trunk than a bike, whereas you probably need to mount a bike rack
You're right. One of the tips I've read about folding bikes is that it's easier to store and handle them in a tote, like the 27 gallon ones you can find at Costco, Home Depot and etc. It's one solid thing to move around, rather than something that is hard to grab and unfolds and etc.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Has anyone used a carrying basket as accessory attached to the front?. If so, any product links to it?.

Why would I get a scooter to ride in anything but perfect weather and be concerned about poor drivability, scooter theft, and lack of cargo space?Besides, these resource intensive batteries dont last but a few years, and they cause toxicity to the neighboring communities they are mined from. Cars, Trucks, & SUVs will always come out on top in my preference of how to transport myself & my property. This is one of the reasons why bike paths are so underutilized. Fun & idealistic in concept, but poor value over all.

There have been many apartment fires in NYC. Idk if necessarily from a cheap ebike/scooter/moped/etc, but it's a possibility. Chargers without overcharge protection and other safety stuff is a hazard. When a plug/charger melts it's pretty dangerous.

I blame the cheap products with no quality control.

Idk, maybe I am wrong or maybe not. I find myself in situations when I like buying fresh ingredients for my sandwiches or fresh milk for coffee, and running my car for 2 miles roundtrip and 5-6 traffic lights is not too wise, imo. Walking also takes about 30-35min. Regardless, the same can be said about electric cars. We can definitely introduce regulations regarding the battery tech and minimum warranty periods. Its a scooter, cargo is irrelevant, IMO.

What's your source regarding all the information shared above?

Thanks for you response.😉 I agree that I wish they were the ideal energy source for the future, but please look this information up on the web and all over. Lithium batteries only last a few years under ideal situations, then the battery starts to degrade where there are a range of symptoms that manifest as electrical/voltage malfunction issues to physical concerns like battery bloating or even ignition. There's a reason bigger lith-ion batteries are banned in fragile places/environments. Then you look at all the lithium/cobalt mines and the big corporations that are mining these are suppressing the information that speaks to how high of a cost the activity is to the environment around it. Dont get me wrong, I think it an excellent form of diversifying our sources of energy, but if they mined this stuff in your community, you would have a LITERAL breakdown.. All Im saying is that there is a cost, and you have to figure out if it works for YOU. I wish I could walk more, and I didnt appreciate the benefit it wouldve given me when I had the opportunity... Civilizations pillage & play ignorant until they are forced to do otherwise.

Bought one using link for $699... So $100 more but still less than retail.
Wife said she'd use it and fold up will allow her to carry in back of SUV and pull out at lunch time at work to scoot around town instead of walking.

Curious what backpack carry options exist for this scooter?

After 25 days of use, my scooter is no longer re-charging, and just find out they are out of business already. Warranty is not usable
