Saw this earlier.. wasn't using this card anymore but now it moves to be top. Wish all Amex still had extended warranty option though..

I always pay off my cards. I meant it can be a chore remembering which ones have a balance. Did I use cards X, Y and Z this month? Guess I better log in to 12 different sites and see if I own anything.

Also a bit difficult to monitor spending when it is spread across so many cards.

Does the 3% work at Safeway or Kroger gas stations? I know some cards do not consider grocery store gas stations as actual gas stations. Discover would give 1% when gas stations were on their 5% category if you went to a grocery store gas stati
For Kroger, I buy a Kroger gift card instore for a grocery purchase and then use at pump. Kroger does not code as gas or grocery at the pump.

Max $180 back for 3% then everything else is 1%. Not terrible but not the best cashback I've seen.

I am curious what kind of credit line AMEX gives people who have this card. Are they higher or lower than other cards or around the same?

Can you clarify more about how you utilize the platinum? (I too have bcp&platinum but not utilizing much)
Sure thing!

Platinum Credits:

Priority Pass: Easily my favorite perk, although it's also covered by my CSR.
2022 actual realized value: Priceless laugh out loud but honestly I would say $50 per flight so far this year so $100. Sky Club access (on same day Delta flights) is another amazing perk!

$200 airline: Not hard to use, but not as easy as my CSR. There are forums that discuss ways to use the credit on seat upgrades/etc which the credit technically doesn't cover. If you want I can provide a link.
2022 actual realized value: $200 on in-flight services/upgrades.

$189 Clear: Simple to use and helps at the airport.
2022 actual realized value: $189 (+tax maybe?)

$240 Digital Entertainment [thepointsguy.com]
: Pays for Disney Bundle currently. Not sure how it will change when Disney raises prices [arstechnica.com] later this year.
2022 actual realized value: $160 so far, $240 by end of year.

$155 Walmart+: I admit I only signed up for this since it was free (after monthly credit). I have used it a few times, but if I had to pay I wouldn't use it. There are better options local to me for delivery of groceries and shipping.
2022 actual realized value: $155

$200 Uber: I usually Uber once a month or two. So this pays for itself the months I do. Can be used on Uber Eats as well. But if its causing you to go out of your way to use the credit and thus spend money you wouldnt normally...I wouldn't say it's "worth it". YMMV
2022 actual realized value: ~$60

$25 /yr Global Entry: Easy to redeem. Just enroll for GE or PreCheck and Amex reimburses. It's good for 5 years. Even if you only fly once GE/PreCheck and Clear (being free mind you) more than make up for the long wait times for new GE applicants currently.
2022 actual realized value: $25

Total value from Platinum = ~$900.
Not counting the points I earn on the card for flights and hotels. And hotel and rental status, if you care for that sort of thing.

Edit: There are also other niche perks, Saks Fifth credit, hotel status, car rental status, Fine Resorts and Hotel credits/offers, etc. The above are ones I get value out of without going out of my way.

Except for Walmart+ I guess. LMAO

Is this better than the preferred card that charges $95 annual? I understand you get 6% supermarket.

Seems Platinum has more benefits over "Business Platinum"..

May be i need to swith over to Platinum now. Does it have same fee $695? The only perkg with business Platinum is 35% back when using RP and 5% back on airfare through AMEX travel.

Yeah the Personal Platinum has $695 Annual Fee. Amex refreshed [thepointsguy.com] the Business Platinum last year. It has a couple of credits that should be easy for a business to use.

still not as good as my credit card which is 3% on everything, everywhere, unlimited. i spend 80% of my purchases online so this deal would be ok if i didn't have u.s. alliance

Thanks. The Dell is the good one added.

Indeed, Adobe and Clear (Already have TSA) not much use except $120 Wireless CR.

The biggest use for me to USE Delta skyclubs.

How to get the Dell CR? The stuff is way overpriced?

is there a dashboard somewhere to track how much of the yearly $6000 is left to be used?

On my simply cash cards (since retired by Amex) the monthly statements show spend on 5% categories, but they are 1 billing cycle behind. On 6k spend prolly not too helpful

I have 6 gold business and a Schwab platinum. I max out 4x on 150k each year on gold and roll into Schwab. However I really don't Uber and basically leave all other benefits on table. Any suggestions

I have found that BofA is terrible at properly categorizing purchases as "online purchases" and then you don't get the bonus CB. I've called them about this and they blame the merchant. It's a gamble.
if some merchants' online catalog are not categorized for BoA cc, it certainly does not work other CC as online purchase as well. it is the merchant how their setup their account, not BoA canot do.
I am very pleased that many in store purchases such as Samsclub/Walmart "scan to go" and some digital wallet payment also counted as "online shopping"

The US Alliance card is a temporary, promotional 3 percent on all spending until December of this year. It then goes to the more standard 2 percent.

Did the blue cash card change from the clear looking credit card to this one with the blue guy on it? Just curious
