you need to get with the times. lately nvidia has driver issues.
Show me on the doll where AMD touched you. If you don't care about ray tracing, this is a great card and way better value than Nvidia. If you care about ray tracing, different story.
I mean 700$ for a gpu that wipes the floor with a 3080 is a decent deal.

So I got the 6900xt same brand from prime day. For $850 after rebate it's around $800 including tax. But I enter the wrong card information. Order got cancel. So you think is good deal after rebate under $800? What is the difference between 6900 and 6900xt?
There is no RX 6900, only 6900XT and 6950XT

With that comment I know for sure that you dont have any idea of gpu performance, you just go to the mainstream channel see some charts and then come right here or reddit to speak like if you know, and now you will get rage instead of doing proper research or test it your self. The 6900xt is a dogshit GPU thats why it fall to even less price than a rtx 3080 10gb and thats why people keep purchasing the 3080 12gb version instead of this deals that continues to pop up, thats why all content creators use a rtx 3080 or bigger, thats why all the pro gamers use a nvidia gpu but then it comes the smart ass guy to tell "but I play forza horizen at 1000+ fps with my rx 6900xt" and you can tell that they know nothing about frame pacing, frame rates, 1% lows, drivers, etc... Instead of actually try to study and understand how things work with a cientific aproach they just regurgitate what some "youtubers" say.

You angry bud? I think Bryan is a little off the mark. I wouldn't say it wipes the floor with a 3080 but if you look at game fps comparisons it is just slightly faster on average but it varies by game. If you want a fair real world comparison look up 50 game comparison 3080 vs 6900 xt.

It's hard for me to care about Ray tracing. Even on Nvidia cards, it's such a hit on performance that I don't think it's worth it. I can't personally tell the difference between my 6800xt, 6900xt or 3800 in regards to performance or driver issues. I really don't notice any.

Thus for the price, I'd probably get a 6800xt in most situations given current prices

As someone who ran Crossfire HD5870 GPUs back in the day, I agree. There's an Nvidia tax for their GPU, but their drivers are better than AMD. And because the pay developers to cripple AMD GPUs, most big games will run better on Nvidia. Just look at any game with Ray Tracing, the RX6900XT is about 40% slower than the RTX3080 12gb. Nvidia has their RTX Ray Tracing built into UE5, any games using these popular engines is going to run RT much better on Nvidia GPUs. If you're spending $700 anyways, might as well spend the $100 Nvidia tax and get the better RT performance.
75% of gamers use Nvidia and 15% use AMD
Most games are optimized for Nvidia on day one.
It takes AMD a few driver issues to get to the sweet spots but they get there
Currently AMD drivers are doing really well

I hate that these are this low. Makes me wanna sell my 3070 for like 350 and spend the extra 350 to buy this but knowing new gpu will be out in like 3 months just doesn't make sense to buy now but I'm impatient

Everyone is speculating new GPUs soon but...
Nvidia has not said when they're release. And you sure as hell can bet they're trying everything they can to delay a launch and hold out.

There is no indication of Nvidia introducing RTX 4000 series performance and value being passed to the consumer. How do we know that they're not going to pull another 2000 series where the performance of the cards are added products to the existing line instead of replacing them? The RTX 2000 series were priced as an extra product line along side the GTX 10 series. They can release the 4080 at $1000, 4070 at $800, 4090 at $1500 and the only cards that will drop in price are the 3090s and 3090Tis.

Despite all that's said, I'm not saying to buy a card now. But it would be foolish to not pick something up all the way up until the RTX 4000 cards release if you really need a GPU.

Both current gen consoles use the same RDNA2 architecture as the current gen AMD PC components. More gamers are playing on AMD GPUS than nvidia right now. Game optimizations are almost always console first which means AMD first.

Since there is so much misinformation and spamming here (what else is new) I figure I'll give some actual data on this exact card in my system:
https://www.passmark.com/baseline...9955020263
It benchmarks higher than the average for Nvidia's 3090ti with a 31400 passmark G3D score.
I have it teamed with a 5900x, 32gb of ram and a Gen 4 SSD with smart access memory enabled. I have no overclocking done to anything.

I get upwards of 380 FPS on fortnite on max settings (depends how fast you're moving around - faster = highert fps obviously) at 1440p ultrawide. I play Horizon 5 and Warzone as well and while I don't remember the fps, it auto picked the highest settings and plays 100% smooth on both of them. When I first tried Fortnite it wouldn't run at all and I think it was because I had it on the DirectX 12 setting (use DX11) and I had a framerate cap set. Once I changed those settings it runs smooth as silk.

I purchased this card because it's the smallest 6900XT by far at 286mm. I have a side mounted CPU cooler and it was the only one that would for sure fit in my setup. I'm glad I did though, I paid 730 bucks on prime day and I don't regret it one bit!
