"Top tier: Asus
A-: Nvidia FE
B+ tier: Msi, Xfx
B tier: Sapphire, PowerColor
C: Gigabyte
D: Zotac
F: EVGA
?: Asrock. Tough to say on Asrock, little history and hit or miss elsewhere.
The only GPU brand I wouldn't touch with a 20 ft pole is EVGA. You know why everyone has experience with their warranty? If you buy a (bleep) product like EVGA makes you're gonna need to use the warranty. Seriously, I had an EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 on my test bench getting its (bleep) kicked by a Dell RTX 3080 dual fan, two slot card. It wasn't even close. The EVGA card was thermally throttling, the Dell was fine. EVGA just didn't cool the memory at all. Based on my experience, every EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 I tested (3 of them so far) will likely suffer a premature failure if used for mining because the card doesn't cool the memory at all and there's no way a sustained 110*C throttling long term won't cause early failures."
In any case, this card went out of stock almost immediately. I was at work looking for deals. I'm patient. I'd like to score a 6800XT for near the $600 price point. There's a powercolor on Amazon that is $660 so we are getting closer. I'd take a 6900 for $700 though (no rebates)

As for the 7-800 stuff that i think just doesn't make sense to me. If you really need now, this makes sense. If you want maximum value wait for the new stuff to be announced, or go ebay at that time. Not everyone wants to do that. This is a great find. IMO the only deal i saw that was better was the 684 deal for the 3080 12gb esp since that was asus. This is splitting hairs. I see some posts about the 6800xt at 600 that's a good value too, they all perform about the same.
I'm finally glad to see prices returning back to a level where there is some value for customers. Now what we need are better midtier options. 250-350 at the 6700/3070 these in the 6's 6800xt 5-6. Totally fine by me. well done sir.
