Core i5 12500H (4P+8E)/16T CPU (4.5 GHz Turbo, 128MB Cache)
Bought 4 different ones the last go around. 2x3050ti and 2x3050 (various friends and family needed new ones). 3 were absolute rock solid. 1 would detect a battery, but absolutey would not accept that it could go to battery power. Instant power off if u plugged from power, and battery never would "charge" over 60%. Did a return...and waited 3 weeks with no communication. Had to email twice more in the next 10 days before I finally got tracking info. Got the laptop and it was a completely different one than the one I sent in, so my guess is that something got lost after they opened it.
Either way I'm still happy becuse I got it replaced, just be prepared to follow up with them.

This is a fantastic deal! I got the same one with the 11800H in it and this one is better performing for just $10 more. The processor is i5 instead of i7 in mine, but 12th gen has such a big performance boost. And this one has full RGB keyboard instead of just red. I'd return and rebuy, but that just feels like a lot of work.
Acer Nitro refurbs are always a bit of dice rolling. I've seen them turn out great, and I've also seen them turn out to be lemons. Hard to say in the abstract.

Yes, in a match up i5 12500h beats i7 11800h by a margin. Worth the upgrade if less than $70. Big bump in price to the 12700h tho

I feel the same way....except I love rgb so much I might just go through the hassle.

Everything I've heard so far has been great and mine had almost no time on it as well. Doesn't mean it couldn't be a completely different story for someone else…

Still on the fence with buying a refurbished mid level or a 12700h ddr5 laptop with a 3070 for twice the price..

The wildcard is Acer just doesn't tell you whether you are getting one that a customer only had for a week and decided to return -- in which case it's practically brand new -- OR if it's something someone returned 6 months later after heavy usage, after being dropped 3 or 4 times without really showing so, etc.
It's not an awful deal...but it does come with some added risk that you need to be aware of. And like I said before, I've seen an Acer gaming laptop refurb turn out great and I've seen one cause constant problems after a year or so.

Does the free 2yr allstate warranty help?
