The i3 and i5 version have regular ram pc3200 ddr4 and a 16x pcie slot and a 1x slot. You can get a gpu if it's low profile. I bought two last time (i3 versions) and they are great no problems so far.

Have you noticed any improvement in performance as well? I wouldn't think it would be throttling but did notice one unnamed temperature sensor getting a bit toasty.

Unrelated: I did determine that it can do 4k60p out (without HDR) but trying to play a 4k YouTube video really stresses it. The Intel docs claim that igpu is limited to 4k30p but that must be inaccurate. I'm also tempted to try a Linux build and see how it performs as well.
