I'd disagree on numpad. Highly useful for literally any situation you need to input numbers (including making calls).
This laptop is amazing. Outrageously thin and light for how powerful it is.
Has an antiglare screen.
I run autohotkey scripts from half my keyboard. Having the numpad is great because it's technically different than the top row #s. If you use your laptop for productivity or anything that can be scripted, AHK can be invaluable, and better with a num pad.

Just got back from trying it out at the Costco. Phenominal laptop in every way (screen, webcam, speed, etc.), but.....the trackpad placement killed it.

At first I thought it was mental conditioning from this SD thread, but my hand actually moved the cursor while typing if I rested my palms on the laptop like most normal people. Had someone else try it as well, and the same thing. I think it's definitely an issue for people with small-medium sized hands. Larger hands seem to be able to rest on the edge of the trackpad without as much phantom cursor moving. Deal killer...bummer.

The matte screen is definately less vibrant and gives the appearance of not being as bright

Great laptop. Better than macbook.
Go for the 32gb model since the memory is soldered and not upgradable.
Sadly only $200 off the 32gb model

There are better deals on 17" laptops. What you are buying with this laptop is the light weight. It is stupid light to the point it doesn't feel like a real laptop. Plus it has a nice screen, though I like the non matte 16" better as it's more vibrant. (But glossy with reflect yes)

EDIT: IF you can go down an inch to a 16" screen, you'll find a lot more deals than on 17" laptops. Examples: https://www.costco.com/lenovo-sli...76663.html

Was $1299-

However, I have finally seen the light about what others mentioned with the track pad placement. I could not understand what they were talking about. Finally had to go and really type on the thing like I'd use it to see the issue. And yes, there is an issue. The track pad is about an inch (Or less) too far to the right and my right hand hits the track pad when typing. The 16" doesn't have this issue.

I was thinking of buying the laptop to try it out but the track pad issue is so bad I know I'll just return it. Not going to even bother. No way would I keep this. What their engineers were thinking I have no idea. NO other laptop in Costco had this issue except for this 17" LG Gram. I walked around both their display tables and yes, checked every one of them. Ridiculous if you ask me. Good for those out there who aren't bothered by this as otherwise it's a nice (non gaming) laptop.

You have been warned haha!
