Bought it the last time for this price. I love it. Perfect for bringing it places while traveling and not having to worry about damage/losing it due to its price point. I can't complain for what it is.

I just happen to see the other thread. My guess would be because of the $20 difference.
Between the 2 chrome book laptops which has the better chipset?

I also notice the $79 model has one extra USB 2.0 & USB-C port.

Also the USB-C port on the $99 model supports up to 1920x1080@60Hz.

The $79 one supports up to 4096x2160@60Hz.

i returned it for the walmart 14" for just $10 more.

If ya don't mind a TN Panel ya can't go wrong with this Lenovo for $80.00. I've been using these super budget 11 1/2 inch Chromers since 2012 and this is the best one, by far, since the Acer 710/720 days. Just hit the two year mark of daily use with this exact same model.

When I was messing with Chromebooks one of the best features was they always had HDMI ports. I don't know if USBC to HDMI is superior in any way, but I'd buy this if it came with straight HDMI.

not the acer. its this exact brand lenovo. 14 inch comes with the free lenovo headset too. its always instock at walmart for $89. people marked it expired to keep it alive for themselves. you can seach "lenovo chromebook walmart" on the expired forum.

no need for linux. you can install any linux app or run any linux commands. or python. just turn on the developer function. then install linux apps away. if you dont want google to see all your saved passwords on the excel sheets. give libreoffice a try.

most people keep asking for linux when themselves dont even know how to pico or vi. there is no need to run linux nowaday if its not part of your job requirements.
