According to the Reddit thread on r/buildapcsales, this just got an OpenWRT release with the newest release.
I can't confirm but I did order one anyways. Seems to be a well liked budget router.

I replaced my r7000 with a newer one recently (wifi 6). Increase in speed is minimal and only close to the router
I noticed 75mbps+ increase versus the TMobile converterted to Asus router
