Good Router/AP.
Installed OpenWrt on both and they are operating in WDS Mode. Setup for

Bought this the last time it went on sale for the same price. It's pretty rock solid. Didn't get around to upgrading to OpenWrt. Just using the base Netgear software.

I upgraded from the old, free T-Mobile Asus AC router from about a decade ago. But still, the improvement to the range and throughput are noticeable in my home. I can put off that mesh router for a couple more years.

Is asus the only brand that still gives you parental controls without a subscription?

How does it do the separate work, smart devices, and entertainment? I have separate SSIDs setup at home with two guest networks for work and smart devices, but some smart devices need to talk to main network or your phone has to join the smart devices network. Wondering how this does it.

Definitely tempted just to have a backup router. Linksys really cheaper out on the LAN ports on the wrt3200acm, the cheap thin aluminum has become twisted and only 2 of my 4 Ethernet ports can be plugged in now. Been a Linksys loyalist since buying routers. While the connectivity has been great the rest of the experience for such an expensive router it's super lacking.IMO

Is this a good router? I just found out my Google onhub router will die in December. And do I need to buy a new Google nest router?

Placed an order. If something better comes up before the shipping date (which I doubt), I'll simply cancel.
