Can't wait for these to get to $249.99 range. My guess is September when the Fed raises interest rate again and econ numbers looks bad, these deals will pop up at much nicer price. Just my guess tho

5600X has 6 cores and the 5700X has 8 cores. The 5600X has slightly higher base clocks, so it will perform a bit better in single/few threaded programs. The 5700X performs better in programs that need more threads and in greater multitasking. Both are great CPUs and the 5700x should be proportionally faster in relation to its additional cores in benchmarks.

Yeah, All the FRY's around me went out of business.....I remember when there was only one in my area and it was an hour drive.....then 20 years ago a second opened near me and for the first 6 months it was packed like sardines....then the "Amazon effect" happened and Fry's was too slow to keep up (plus a lot of fraud at the top and unethical practices)... it was like my Radio Shack too.

With that all said, I am still shocked that Micro Center is still alive. The one near me is still going, but I have not walked into that store in years. I do hope they survive because they do have a few unique items. I am still waiting for my local one to get a Raspberry PI allocations, so that I can finally revisit the store Stick Out Tongue....The last time I was at Microcenter, I was purchasing DOOM 3 for the PC the day it came out....

everyone and their mother got a nice AMD rig now, hack,even if i am running 2700x wouldnt hurry to upgrade.

Intel just raised their CPU prices due to supply chain issues.
The i5-12400 that was $159.99 at Microcenter a few weeks ago is now $179.99.
I'll tip into the AMD camp if AMD keeps cutting prices while Intel increases theirs.

If interest rates go up, the costs of goods go up…so that won't be the reason prices go down. Newer technology and increased supply will (hopefully) outpace increased inflation, though, and that could lower prices.

It's actually the opposite. The fed raises interest rates too slow inflation. When interest rates are high there is less growth, less spending, and therefore less demand. If supply is the same, but demand falls, prices stop rising and slows inflation. Basically, the Fed is sacrificing economic growth in order to control inflation. The hope is it's a strategic timed dip, and quick recovery, but no one really knows how markets will react.

Amen. High interest means high mortgages...do it too fast and you force recession. Prices gonna fall. Hold steady gents ands get these at firesale as revenge for the covid/crypto insanity.

Have to agree.....i'm itching to do a Win11 Build (as my 2017 1st gen Ryzen 7 1700X won't do & MB don't like it without workaround).

I'm willing to wait for RYZEN 7000 Series and AM5 chipsets for futureproofing so just bought a RX 6650XT on sale to upgrade from an old workhorse GTX 1050 to address my upgrade itch for the time being.
