+1 for this. Yes, this is by far the cheapest price for a new one. Despite being last year's model , performance wise, both multi-core and GPU performance, this is still better than 2022 Intel version of it, costing around $1100 for the i7-1260P and RTX 3050. And battery life is anyway, better on this. 2022 model has other advantages like higher resolution 16:10 screen, Gen4 SSD, Thunderbolt 4, but for this price, this is really a good deal.

I got this factory refurb. I moved the factory SSD (Intel IIRC) to the secondary slot, added a SK Hynix P31 and installed Win10 Pro. It will get hot when gaming on a soft surface. I added folding legs and an ultra thin mat, now it runs warm but not uncomfortable while gaming, some of the heat is thanks to the second SSD. I have zero complaints about the performance.

These are nice but this is only a few bucks less than the normal price.

EDIT: as of 8/21/22 this is now $138 under the typical low price @ $792 and a pretty darn good deal on a fairly unique laptop.

I got this factory refurb. I moved the factory SSD (Intel IIRC) to the secondary slot, added a SK Hynix P31 and installed Win10 Pro. It will get hot when gaming on a soft surface. I added folding legs and an ultra thin mat, now it runs warm but not uncomfortable while gaming, some of the heat is thanks to the second SSD. I have zero complaints about the performance.

I don't game often, but it's nice to have the capability. So far Nacon Monster Truck Championship, MS Flight Sim X, MechWarrior 5. Need to try some more racing games. It runs Lawn Mowing Simulator 2022 just fine, but it still isn't for me.

This is not a gaming laptop. Swift X 14" 60hz 100% sRGB will look better, but the one you posted has a higher refresh, but less color accuracy.

The one you posted will game better, but look worse, because the Swift X is lower power cpu/gpu aimed at creators.

It has a secondary M.2 slot for extra storage but RAM is however all soldered

IMO this is a great laptop for people who want an ultrabook that also has some casual gaming horsepower.

I have an external 27" 1080p@144hz keyboard/mouse setup. I use an Anker hdmi USB C hub. OverWatch/Warfare/Apex all on competitive low settings and I have no problem getting well over 100fps. If you look at the numbers this thing will provide at least GTX 1060 level performance in gaming, a GPU that still tops the steam hardware list.
