Am hoping they make either a bigger unit, or add an extra battery so I can charge one and use the other.

That throws me off. This is just a big fancy battery isn't not? It does not actually generate power?
The "generator" label is because "generates" 110v AC from low voltage DC solar panels. A bit misleading but the industry seems to have picked up the term and run with it.
Thank you for this info. Buying one on eBay now for 196!
That one has notes about being refurbished! Be careful buying it! I almost got it for my friend, but noticed the lack of reviews and they said they liked the refurbished unit.

If someone doesn't bother to investigate what it is they are buying, that's their problem. I wouldn't purchase this one but whatever.
Maybe they should rephrase it -solar generator. No solar included.

It's a battery that stores the power created by solar cells.

They're referring to the eBay listing someone previously mentioned that is offering a cheaper one yet refurbished.
Where do you see info about UPS function? Don't see anything on thier site, I'm guessing it's the basic can stay plugged into shore with passthrough?
If someone replies with "look at your _____, it's made in China" then you don't understand what QA is.

Regarding this vs paying more for the newer battery tech, unless you're using this daily, it'll last you many years. I use this three-to-four times per year. Paying more for newer battery tech would be a waste of money for me. It depends on the use case.
