Someone may have to loosen over torqued lugs the next time, but if they are doing oil changes/brakes/etc themselves, and going forward they're only ever tightening and loosening them with this, they should be fine, since it will put them on tight enough, and can take off whatever lug nut it put on.
* Note to new users...you'll also need a set of impact rated sockets. Do NOT use standard sockets. They could shatter and cause serious injury.
* * If you're buying an impact driver for a larger project, consider buying one with a larger battery, or purchase another battery in addition (one to charge while using the other), as a 1.5Ah battery is going to drain quickly. Larger capacity batteries are also able to provide maximum current and thus maximum power more reliably than smaller batteries through a majority of the capacity as well.

This + the $15 impact bit set and you're ready to tackle any home fastening task.
Also appears it comes with the 2 amp charger, as someone else said those are running 30$. A lot of the sets came with the 0.5 amp charger.

Wouldn't count on those torque numbers being accurate. Plus, it's more about the battery than the "supposed" torque rating. I have the Bauer impact similar to this that barely removes car lugs with 1.5 ah batteries but doesn't even hesitate on my truck lugs with the 5 ah battery.

Impact wrenches with a reducing adapter will also be far more powerful than any impact driver for even residential purposes like driving heavy fasteners for framing, decking, concrete, etc.
* A tip for those looking...buy a Ridgid impact wrench with a battery included. When part of a bundle, Ridgid warranties the batteries as well as the tool for life. A not well talked about perk when buying Ridgid
Not a lug nut that's been on the car for a while or got tightened at a shop. Get a $70 Porter Cable corded if all you want to do is take off lug nuts. Very important to get a set of impact sockets - normal thin wall ones do not transmit the force properly and will also crack.
