Yeah sounds like it will be expensive year. I went with a Gigabyte 43" 4k and Geforce RTX 3080.....Honestly it's not enough to reach the 144hz refreshrate, so smart on waiting for the RTX 4000 series, I would go with a 4080 or 4090. My 3070 wasnt nearly enough, so upgraded to a 3080. Goodluck buying this, it looks awesome. Side note avoid the Gigabyte 43" monitor, it's buggy.

Hopefully this helps more people on the fence. I used "HORIZONSAMSUNG" on samsung's site for an extra $160, bringing my total to $1439.99 before tax.

Note this coupon didn't stack with EDU discount so it's still not as good as the previous all time low ~$1300, but it's still pretty good.

Additionally, I got a claim offer in my email confirmation for JBL Quantum One headphone (going for $250 retail)

I use this monitor on a daily basis. You definitely need a strong graphics card to use the full potential of this if you game with it. I had a 6900 but it kept overheating it. I upgraded to a 3090 TI and now I have no problems, but if I use full resolution at 240 fps, wattage pulls my computer system above 600 watts. (This is only when I game with full resolution, average wattage is about 200-300 watts during normal activities)

ugh, just got a "your order has been delayed" email. anyone else? I previously purchased a fridge from samsung's site and that was delayed by months. Anyone with experience buying their monitors - how long did it take to eventually ship? I "need" this monitor for work.
