65" LG C1 was $1800 up until recently, now it's what $1600-1700?

Not really a debate that the OLED is better, but you could actually get 2 Hisense U8H - 65" & 55" - for combined $1600

The promo for 2021 was 9/10 to 10/31. It appears there will be a promo for 2022 from 9/1 to 10/31. The info is in the second jpeg image on the product page for 65u8h on amazon. I'm trying to attach a copy of that image to this post.

The link says it expired in 2021. I went to Best Buy today and really tried to convince myself to give Hisense another shot. I just got so burned last time, I'm extremely hesitant to ever trust this brand again. Plus, from what I've seen of their Mini LED "1000 zone" local dimming, it seems less than stellar/ like it needs a major overhaul for the processor. Not saying this is a bad deal, but personally I would wait one more generation before jumping into Hisense Mini LED. The 2 year warranty is nice Tho.

BTW, not sure if there is a separate thread but Amazon now has the 55" U8H for $649, it was over a thousand upon release a couple weeks ago. The 55" was pretty much sold out in the L.A. area Best Buy stores when looking on Sat. @$699.

Edit : Best Buy has brought it down to $649 as well. Apparently new stock is coming in as it can be ordered and picked up this weekend at all the local stores.

I believe that is the Hisense 8k U800GR from last year. Also last years 4K U9DG model had a significant Ghosting issues. Both TV's were high end models and not widely available that I know of.

Any idea if the $100 "Reward" is cash refund or maybe some other kind of credit?

I've had 2 mini led tvs and I really don't see the difference between regular led 🤷 I also had last year's U8G and loved everything about it except the motion, and ended up returning for that reason.

I'd rather pay a little more for an OLED by LG. I would NEVER pay almost $1K for a Hisense. No way!
