But how is Acer long term with these kinds of machines?
RTX 3060
12th gen i7
Wifi 6E
Thunderbolt 4
All for $1200
SSD instead NVME of on a device like this is a heartbreaker tho. And it's kinda heavy at over 5 lbs.

As far as weight goes, I don't think 5 is terrible but other laptops in this class that I've been eyeing are lighter.
Asus TUF Dash 15, ASUS Zephyrus 15, and Razer Blade 15 are 4.5 lbs. Gigabyte Aorus is 4.8. It's not a huge difference, but anyone looking to travel often with their laptop will be notice.

When you go for full powered CPU and GPU based laptops which can sustain higher Power for longer duration, they are almost over 5lbs. Examples I've given earlier like Legion 5 Pro, Alienware M15 2022, Asus ROG Strix series. Due to higher power requirements, these laptops need bigger cooling solution and higher airflow which increases the dimension and weight.

edit:
another good candidate in that range is the HP omen 16. 16gb DDR5, 1Tb NVME. aluminum body (not plastic). Just hard to shake the bad feels I still have with HP after my last experience using their laptops over a decade ago. Hopefully they've changed a lot since then. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-o...Id=6503846

Really wish the comparably specced Dell G15 dropped to $1200! Would be nice to only carry one charger for both work and play laptops.
What's a better deal this or the BB Helios 300 with the rtx3060 for $999?
