Nothing wrong with freeze packs.

An alternative that I have found works pretty well is a simple Home-Made pack.

Fill a disposable, plastic water bottle with water to about the 75-80% mark.
Mix in about a teaspoon of salt. Then freeze the bottle.

The most expensive part of this is the salt...as the bottle was likely going to be trash anyways.
Because you did not totally fill the bottle with water, there is room for expansion when it freezes.
The salt allows the bottle to freeze at a lower temp and allows the bottle to be more effective.
And if the bottle were to be punctured in the cooler, it is salt water and not toxic.
Plus...it is usually easy to source the materials to make as many of these as you want.
Also found freez pak on sale at Walmart for $1.07 if you need it alittle taller and sooner. Also large is also on sale.

Yes, and nobody wants to be forced to enter a Walmart - let alone to buy a $1 ice pack. The deal here is that Amazon matched the price with free Prime shipping.

Good post OP.

Walmart has curbside pickup. I barely ever enter the store.
My Walmart's parking lot is also a dumpster fire. When I do visit my Walmart, I typically park about a hundred yards away from the entrance.

From all the photos of "People of Walmart" I've seen, it seems that's the best thing about the store: People Watching.

Slick deal: frozen plastic bottle of water.

Then you have… water.

With this, you have a liability you have to carry or throw away. Just sayin…

Most modern water bottles are constructed of barely a single use type of plastic. For coolers, it's a fine idea. For the typical carry pack or lunchbox, being flat for the form factor is the most important. These and the pouch types definitely have a purpose, and the liability of cheap plastic cracking generally isn't a concern.

The GMO fruit tastes like cheap wood 4x4s. I thought it was just once in a party tray I bought for a cookout few years ago but I've attempted a few more times, even in single fruit purchases and it still tastes like an empty room to me.

I've been doing farmer markets ever since I realized they are cheaper and better for you.
Are you using voice recognition? Some of these words are so random.

Please go research what GMO actually is because you are clearly clueless about it. But thanks for supporting your local farms. That is nice.

Ever since I got my basically "free" walmart+ membership I've been shopping at walmart using the walmart+. pretty good as they have quite a selection and most major items have similar prices as amazon

THIS ^. I dumped Amazon Prime after having it for many years. Walmart + is my new "go to". They really do a great job with it. Highly recommend.

Your right..a water bottle is not right for every use. Neither is a small, flat block.
If only there were other shapes and sizes in the world.
