There is no better "fan" than a Vornado circulator - it really will pull the air into the room leading to less use of heat and A/C
That being said there are models to avoid like any company in the USA:
1. Vornado's high end luxury line with chrome/brass/etc accents
2. Vorando's tower fan
3. Any personal or desk Vornado fan
Every single other model, again, you won't find a better fan.
People complain about the motor going out on Vornados. I have two in locations that need air pushed and run them literally around the clock unless I am out of my house. Both have been running amazing for last 3.5 years.
Vornado has 5 and 10 year warranties as well - if it breaks, call/chat with them and be polite. They will ask you to cut the cord with scissors and take a pic of the cut cord with your serial # on your unit and in less than a week you will have a brand new fan sent out to you. I cant believe more people havent abused this probably dont know about it but it's one of the best warranty's in the game for any product.
TLDR: Buy a Vornado, just not this one or the tower one

The WooZoo is better and more quiet.
It pushes the air a little bit better.
I do like the Vornado Pivot 3U but I would not say that it is equal to the WooZoo.
But the WooZoo was more expensive.
There are a few things that I am not crazy about on the WooZoo, the loud beeping when you turn it on and change the speed and the bright on board lights.
They are not that bad but it would be nice if you could adjust the brightness and turn off the sound.
Things I love about the WooZoo, the remote is great, and that the controls are on the front of the WooZoo.
It's very cute.
I don't personally use the oscillation but it is a nice feature.
It pushes air very well.
It's quieter than the Vornado Pivot 3U on highest speed.
It has 5 speeds instead of the 3 speeds on the Vornado Pivot 3U.
The main thing that I really find annoying on the Vornado Pivot 3U is that the control switch is on the back of the fan.
I don't mind that it is a little louder in use on the higher speed.
It is as quiet on the lowest speed as the WooZoo.
I prefer the lowest speed for sleeping.
I don't need it to be blasting air at me.
For the $20 that the Vornado Pivot 3U cost I think that it is a good value.
It's cute.
But so is the WooZoo.
I use a lanyard on the remote to the WooZoo to help keep it from getting lost and to keep it within reach. I have it looped on my bed post.
If you are fortunate to be able to find a WooZoo at Costco in the clearance prices of between $12 and $20 I'd recommend that you grab a few.
I know that if I had that opportunity I would definitely be adding a few more to my collection.
They've done it twice for me on these (in two different locations) without a moment's hesitation.
The second one even said, the app is showing the online price when you scan in store which they "absolutely will be happy to match" so it's a good idea to always scan and see.
Will target honor this price if I find it in a store?
The Target Honeywell ht900 model is 40 watts 0.60 amps, I just received it. I had an older ht900 from 2018 was only had 0.25amps and was not that strong compared to the 2022 model.
Can you tell me what the amps are on the Vornado Pivot 3u, I think the watts are 35 watts, but it doesn't list the amps. Can someone post it with a comparision.
I heard of vornado as brand name, ... just never got around to buy that brand yet.
Thanks in advanced.
p.s. Why is Vornado hiding how many amps this uses. I read the manual for it, and checked amazon and vornado website. It doesn't tell how many amps it has. Honeywell states it clearly, and etches it on bottom in black plastic. I think the company has to tell how many amps it is use. I'm not talking about the fuse on the device, but the actual amps this device is using. I saw on
Vornado Pivot Personal Air Circulator Fan, Champagne
https://www.amazon.com/Vornado-Pi...YWFLL?th=1
I plugged in amp in the question and answer and it said it only has 0.18 amps for that model. So, I just need to know how many amps this model has.
Not stating the amps could mean they want to hide it because if it is low, we could see it sucks compared to other fans that state what the amps is. On some of Vornado models we know what amps, but not on this model.

Amps = watts / volts. 34w per their online specs, but on my fan, it says 37w. So 34-37/120 = 0.283
-0.308 amps
Do you know if the $20 model will work with the smart plug?

The Vornado PIVOT 3U is 37Watt and 0.28 amps 20 dollars on Target
The 2022 Honeywell ht900 is 40watts and 0.60 amps for 8.50 dollars on Target
Now, the 2018 honeywell ht900 was only 0.25 amps.
It seems to me the Honeywell ht900 2022 model is alot better , unless you have compared them and can give your review.
I did compare the honeywell ht 900 2018 model against the 2022 ht900 model. And the highest setting on the 2018 was the lowest setting on the 2022 model. Meaning the 2022 ht900 was a lot more powerful than the 2018 model.
8.50 dollars for twice as much power then the Vornado Pivot 3u for 20 dollars.
Does this seem reasonable or is their something I'm missing?
p.s. the Honeywell ht 900 has a switch, and I use my smart plugs to turn them on and off, ... I'm not sure is the Vornado Pivot digital , maybe others can comment if you can use smartplug to turn it on and off.

Annoyingly placed on the back.
I don't have a smartplug but maybe I should get one for it because that switch on the back is very irritating.

And as for tower fan models, note that even Wirecutter has abandoned the category [nytimes.com].
Good luck!

I just looked at the Vornado Pivot 3U on the Target app and it's back up to $39.99.
Showing as sold out at my local Target but available at other Target stores.

I initially bought the Vornado Pivot 3U to use in my master bath due to lack of ventilation and excess moisture when taking hot showers.
I placed it on a small table directly across from the shower.
The opposite corner of the room.
I found that it was perfect for this application.
Before getting the little Vornado I had been bringing in a an old desk fan and placing it on the floor in the middle of the room pointing up and running it on the highest setting for about a half hour. This wasn't the best option but it was doable.
When I received the Vornado and started to use it for this purpose it worked very well for the situation.
I'd turn it on high just before taking the hot shower and switching it off when I got out of the shower and there was no moisture on the walls and ceiling.
I had it pointed up to the ceiling and toward the shower.
Perfect solution that didn't involve having to get a ceiling fan installed. My house is 100+ years old and that would cost a lot more than the $20 that the Vornado cost.
I bought the Honeywell thinking that it might be another option for my master bath but it was bigger than I thought that it would be and it doesn't work for the same location as I have the Vornado. The table is a little too small for the Honeywell but perfect for the Vornado.
Plus the Vornado is cuter than the Honeywell.
I don't regret buying the Honeywell, it's a good fan especially for the price.
Next year when summer returns I'm sure that I will find a use for it.
