I remember like 10-15 years ago buying a usb 3.5 inch floppy disk drive and feeling like I was using dated technology. Now I'm feeling that way with CDs and DVDs.

You ain't never lied. The cheapest I could find from a reliable source was around $100 maybe after tax when I was looking a while ago.
