Last two times I've ordered from Target and the item was actually out of stock, they offered to ship it for free. YMMV.

In for 1. I I have hundreds upon hundreds of CDs/DVD's I've been meaning to back up for years now.
Have fun recording hundreds of dvds at 8X. Quadruple 24x is the way to go.

It's important to note that CDs don't last forever. They literally deteriorate over time. As pretty much all storage media does. I have CDs from the 00's that have literally flaked apart over time. Tape seems to be the longest lasting media for storage and is what is used for professional archiving.

commenting just for nostalgia *sigh* I remember burning a CD for my gf to express mi amor. It started off with some dance music for sure; some EDM; some hip hop; and some slow jams to end it. Signed it with a sharpie <3. must have made tons of those. those were the days...

Nobody has a use for these puppies in 2022.shake head No offense chief but I had to hit the thumbs down on this one.LMAO
No, you haven't died, you're just being a tad bit narrow minded. Many people have use for these, me included. For the price, it threads the needle just right. No need to recycle and old drive, buy an enclosure, cables and then assemble it. Plus, it's very slim and easy to break out and tuck away.

Yep. The banks did no better. I encourage people to use a combination of physical and online backup... just know they both have risk and limitations. You for your house in two minutes on foot, you
get the clothes on your back. That's it.

I used to back up my TurboTax records to CD/DVD for years. Now I just put them on a thumb drive.

It's always nice to have one of these around just in case. For $20 and easy to keep in a drawer, I'm in.
