I was looking to cash out a gift card and noticed they added a Walmart gift card option, and they are adding 5% bonus. Goes from $5-200.

I held out for YEARS after doubling my money on that deal - like $2000 between 3 cards.

Now the best, repeatable, deal seems to be around the Holidays when they offer Happy cards @ 20% discount, and the card is accepted at Lowe's where you can buy 3rd party GC with it, so for me it's basically an Amazon 20% discount. That's happened the past 2 or 3 years.

Because Walmart 5% isn't every quarter. I buy now and then use the GC in non 5% quarters. Same thing with grocery stores. We don't spend 3K in a quarter (two cards), so go with GC to use the rest of the year.

You can get 5% off anytime with cash app, If you can hold on to your cashback on gift cards that offer greater discount. Sam's club has been available every week and Walmart was added fee weeks ago as well.

my Walmart purchases online or store with scan to go, all can get 5.25% with BoA credit card at anytime

I have several credit card that has 2.65% on everything, or 5.25% for online purchase.

yep there's always a sams or walmart in cash app so spending your disc pts on walmart gc for 5% is a waste.

Lowe's allows you to use the Happy gift cards to buy other gift cards? News to me. Thanks. I thought all retailers stopped that.

If you call to cancel they'll give you a 4% retention that stacks with the 5% quarterly bonus for up to 7k spend. Looks like a decent money maker combined with PayPal.

This is a terrible use of discover points. Capital one Walmart card is always 5% online. For in-store, I just load up on some discounted gift cards from raise and keep a balance in my Walmart pay account and use that to check out.

Me2, it is BOA 123 with Platium * 75%, right?

It turned out, I think I am losing 3% interest for the 100k I put in saving account, so I moved it to Merrill Edge, which also counts. And now I only have 50k on my account Frown (numbers is just for trolling and kidding, my actually loss on my Merrill Edge is larger Frown)

Eh, it's a credit card in the system, so the POS will let it go through. If you flash it to cashiers like an idiot, they might say something.

I am talking about the "run as credit" happy cards, not the "redeem online" ones. Trust me, they still work.
