This impact wrench has an Auto shut off setting where you can tighten a lug nut without hammering on it. Then you can torque to spec after.

I got this last time and its amazing. That being said I would very careful with typical car lugnuts. They typically need to be torqued to 80-90 ft lbs, this will snap lugs easy.

You shouldn't ever use an impact to tighten lug nuts. You could barely snug them but the final tightening should be done by hand with a torque wrench. Some use torque sticks to limit torque of an impact to tighten lug nuts but I wouldn't trust that myself.

Exactly this, regardless of how many times you tell people they will still do it haha

Yep I got this impact and the auto feature on this does a great job stopping.

Just a reminder for those who don't have any Ryobi tools this does NOT come with a charger even though it comes with a battery. So you will need a charger or buy another tool that you may want to add into the Ryobi system that comes with a charger.
