I think because of the price people don't want to hear the truth. :/ Just trying to help those out who may not know.
I agree with mostly everything you said, except that it won't go that low again. This TV is $699 everywhere. Pretty sure it won't go higher. If it was $650 briefly earlier, it will go down to that same price, sooner or later. I can see it going down to that price in the holiday season, or even at the early prime event next month.
For anyone wanting a 4K TV for mainly streaming, watching sports from OTA antennas, and other input sources . . . . the Hisense both this year and last year models compare well and even exceed the performance of comparable Samsung, Sony and others. . . . and are $400 to $800 less.
I've owned four 4K TVs since 2015 from several brands and auditioned and returned at least 7 others of different models and brands. We now own a 2019 and 2021 Hisense. Both working fine and obviously improvements on the 2021, but excellent picture quality on both.
Generally the improvements from one year to the next is in the speed of the OS, contrast ratio/black levels, and other nuances.
The truth is. . . . there are always better TVs. but for the money . .. Hisense offers TV picture quality in the brightness, color gamut, deep blacks and sharp detail at $$$ less. Customer support is also generally top notch and has been. If you read the 4K LED forum sections for Samsung, Sony and LG TVs on AVS Forum for mid level TVs that would cost you $1,200 to $1,500 you will see that most also have issues with certain games and game system as well as not providing all that is advertised.
The technology advances yearly for 4K and now 8K TVs and ALL the TV makers are perhaps a bit too anxious to push out TVs that require firmware patches and better GPI processors that aren't stretched to provide what is advertised.
Also, getting an HDMI cable (8 foot length max passive) 8K HDMI 2.1 Certified Ultra HD 48Gbps High Speed 8K60 4K120 eARC RTX 3090 HDR10 4:4:4 HDCP 2.2 & 2.3 Dolby Compatible with Playstation 5/PS5, Xbox Series is important for use with any game system and TV.
Not just Hisense owners have game system issues. Often it is owners that do not understand the need for proper settings to match game system and TV as well as the needed HDMI cables.
Lastly, ALL mid priced TVs seem that they can have ARC and eARC issues with matching sound bars and TVs and support Dolby Atmos.
If you use a decent audio video receiver and even modest speakers, those sound issues are generally not any concern. Sound bars are not a substitute for a good home theater sound system and speakers with the exception of some $2,000 to $3,000 sound bar systems.
Please explain 🤷🏾 ♂️

Shortly after this post you quoted I posted some more info.
Then Brandsmart had it for $650 for quite a few weeks after Xmas and into January 2022.
Many were able to price match it and even got a $100 BB gift card doing it.
But you had to watch every day and check SD every few hours.
I got mine during that time period price matching.
Good to know, thank you! I'll keep me eye out for the trusted reviewers to test and then probably pick this set up.
From what I read the patch is a great improvement but there are still compromises and it's still not true 4k120 with local dimming. I can't seem to find anything besides some comments on internet forums though.
