Go to your reward activity, and it should say 10X for the gas transactions. You can also see if it is coded as Gas. If not, then it won't trigger the 10X and you need to go to other gas stations.

I set up the notification on my account and I get an email from Chase saying "You used your card at a gas station" and a text message with "Amazon Reward Visa: You made a gas station transaction with COSTCO GAS #...." each time i pay at the pump.

no and nobody does that. if you're going to get 10% off the category, the combined limit is for the category, not for everything else. in other words, if you buy a $1500 drone as your first purchase, your second purchase for $100 in gas will get 10% or 10$ back.

It says purchases from 10/01/2022 to 12/31/2022. So after those dates do you lose the 10 percent back and it reverts to lower cash back permanently?

Didnt work for Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, Hyatt, Amazon, Reserve. But it worked on my United Explorer card though. I guess 10 miles per $1 on gas is better than nothing!
