I guessing Black Friday we'll see a few different bundles at $250. I'd be very surprised if the system itself was closer to $200.

$250 with a second controller is the best I've seen yet, especially at target with redcard and potentially other discounts as well.

Don't follow the deals on the S model closely but this doesn't seem too bad of a deal. Could be that the supply chain issues are getting better and deals will start to pop more frequently now, especially as we head into the holiday season.

Honestly, I prefer the price point of $199.99 vs this deal especially when I and like others are the only player.

Not bad nevertheless.

The Series S is a great console especially with gamepass. I eventually upgraded to the series x because I got a new 4k monitor

Wonder if it's worth returning my Series X bundle for this and saving $300…

This is actually a solid deal. If you have Game Pass, you can use this console to play games via Cloud Gaming instead of having to install the full game. I have both a One S, and a Series X - the One S I use in a spare room to play our Game Pass games without having to install anything - also is not connected to a 4K TV like the Series X, so not missing out on anything major.

At this price point - the Series S is looking like a great way to game without investing into PC specific hardware.

I have a Xbox one S and it works fine for Gamepass with my PS5 for my physical games but maybe time to upgrade it.
Go for it. You can sell your Xbox One S for $150 so it's net $100 for two better controllers and a 3x faster console.

If MS wanted a digital console should have done like PS5 digital and keep the same hardware without a disc drive.

Not this gimped system thats a generational bottleneck

MS got it right before with the Xbox 360 Arcade

Yeah, best I've seen also. Effectively $200 when pricing in the second controller. Imho, these controllers are a nice upgrade over Xbox One Gen controllers. So anyone thinking, I've already got controllers, an extra doesn't give me value, I'd say the controller upgrade is significant. Particularly for the d pad.

Sure you can, but you need a 4K panel with 120hz. You wouldn't buy a blu-ray player to watch on your 720p LCD. Don't compare the two

If you buy the Microsoft gift cards at 20% off and wait for a game bundle deal. The Xbox Series S sold at the Microsoft Store actually hit $212 (provided you value the free game at $20).

How many people actually have 4k 120hz tvs? Growing more by the day, but most people that bought a 4k tv a few years ago that didn't support 120fps, aren't going to run out and by a 4k tv with 120hz so quickly.
