Yeah it doesn't which is really disappointing and limits these cams considerably. If you don't have a Sync Model 2 for free backup storage these cameras are virtually useless despite the low price IMO.

However, if you do have the Sync Model 2 then these cameras are quite useful because the picture quality and detection is decent.

I happen to have a Sync Model 2 that came free with my $50 Blink Doorbell so this deal is somewhat tempting. I could put these cams to good use thanks to the free and virtually unlimited storage that the Sync Model 2 provides...

Did they just start this? We have a lot of older blink cameras, but also one blink mini and don't pay any subscriptions. I guess if you buy newer cameras they force you to buy a subscription? The only reason we went with Blink was no subscriptions needed.

As far as I know, Blink doesn't have RTSP support. If they did, I would be all over this deal.

I have been using these and a blink doorbell with a sync module. In general it is a good addition to house but far from perfect. Keeps recording passerby cars even though I selected zones, and sometimes starts recording late, such as I can only see the back of delivery guys. And once, it stopped recording forever without notice until I formatted its usb drive. Yes it is cheaper, so expectations should be lower. Minis are nice cat cameras just to check on them if Denise the menace did something silly but cannot use as baby cam because it forces you to interact with the app to keep sending the live video. Hope this helps you to decide.

I'm having the same problem with cars with the Blink Doorbell. It doesn't matter if I deselect zones, decrease sensitivity ECT; the doorbell will always detect every car that passes by which drains the battery needlessly.

I've already had to change the 2 lithium batteries after 3 months which can get expensive. Luckily I got a deal on Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA Batteries 8 Pack for $15 recently @ Target but IMO Blink really should fix the car detection issue as it is ridiculous and annoying.

Nah. I have a Blink Sync 2 and it records free to local storage device. This deal is ideal if you already have a Blink setup as additional cameras.

Using blink cameras with sync 2 module. Doorbell stinks and it will catch mail truck about 2/3 through its view. These minis work for capturing but you cannot see thumbprint from them and have to delete each one after the videos are loaded individually. If you have a high traffic area you simply turn them off which defeats the point.
