And over past week, numerous Tmob customers, cell and home have had data connection problems, where you get disconnected from internet even though have full bars. Takes a minute or two to come back. The eggheads on reddit are helping tmob troubleshoot.. Something about ipv4 tunnel exit.
Problem seems to be the worst in New York State.
There's a way of doing it by creating a server somewhere that has public IP then you tunnel to that. It's complicated for most and even if you pull it off, then you added lag etc.
Also, last time I had it, there's no bridge mode. This thing is so simple it's designed for simple things.
Ask yourself why you would consider switching from your current ISP?
1. Is your current ISP reliable (uptime)?
2. Is your current ISP too expensive?
3. Is your current ISP's connection too slow?
4. Is your current ISP imposing a data cap?
For me it was #1. I got tired of Breezeline outages, and not interested in Spectrum due to prior experiences. Signed up for Starry Internet when they were announced here last year and never heard back.
Be aware that they are now offering T-Mobile Home Internet Lite in addition to the unlimited, which is different than the original unlimited offering (data caps). My experience is with unlimited.
I have the Arcadyan KVD21, Ethernet cable to Orbi RBK50 mesh router (Wi-Fi 5 with Tri-band), Ethernet cable from Orbi router to Orbi satellite. Running Pi-hole with the Orbi, turned off Wi-Fi on the Arcadyan. Orbi has ipv6 passthrough enabled, Orbi is set to router mode with MTU set to 1420.
Generally 150-200mbps down, 20-60mbps up. Ping is around 20 idle. 0% packet loss. Even higher speeds after 8am (to 6pm) and 12am (to 6am). People on the tower must commute to work, which I don't miss. 😁
0.75 miles from the tower and I can see the top of it from the window where the Arcadyan is located. Spent the time finding the best location. Close to a window on the second floor, up high on a shelf, rear of the Arcadyan facing the tower. Use Cellmapper to see where the tower you are connected to is located. Connected to b66/n41 99% of the time. Tower switching is rare for me. Signal to Noise Ratio (SINR in the app) is rarely less than 20 for me, and can reach up to 30 for 5G on a good day.
I work from home via corporate VPN 5 days a week, lots of Teams meetings with cameras and screen shares. I game on Xbox Series S at night (Ethernet cable plugged directly into the Arcadyan). Wife games on Switch. Xbox NAT says open after performing "Test NAT" a few times. Never had a problem streaming anything on Roku TV and Fire sticks, probably 50+ devices connected to the Orbi routers, including PCs, TVs, phones, fridge, oven, window ac, Nest thermostat, MyQ, bulbs, plugs, Wyze cams.

VPN or TOR would surely still work, but that sounds like an awful experience all around.
The common consumer needs to realize wireless infrastructure is cheaper than running and maintaining lines, so there's no excuse for them to cut even more corners.
Wonder if these can be flashed to normal firmware like the Asus routers they used to sell for Cellspot.

Right off the bat, if every node doesn't have the same connection strength as your router, you're skewing your results.
But, slower in terms of bandwidth or latency?
Bandwidth in most mesh networks is typically divided by the number of active nodes and then adjusted based on factors present on each node.
If you have a node with a bunch of devices on it using bandwidth and you're testing on a lonesome node, you might just be lower priority.
Latency, however, is mostly physical. The only way to resolve this is repositioning your nodes.
Sorry, but they modify their CSS based on whether you allow 3rd party cookies or not.
