Have both 3 and 7p. Not worth spending hundred dollars over.

I have the 7P and I think just the ChatMix feature alone is worth the 100 bucks. However not this model anymore.

The new model has USB-C Charging. My Microusb port on my 7p is pretty finicky after a number of years. Paying a bit more to have a USB-C Port instead so it doesn't wear out is worth it.

Am I missing something? I bought the 7x several months ago at 119 and I thought that was a heck of a deal. Shouldn't this deal get a lot more traction?

Mine lasted a little over a year maybe before the plastic broke that connects the ear cup to the head band. When I researched the issue, it seemed to be pretty common. I replaced them with razer (can't remember the model) ones and they were just as good or better. I didn't game every day or anything and expected them to last longer especially at the full retail price.

The 7X is actually a newer model than the 9x. Comes with a usb-c dongle to connect versus the 9x which uses the proprietary Xbox connection which is prone to interference

The 7x is superior as it has a USB dongle and doesn't have the connection issues that the 9x has.

The mounting pins on the headband crack over time if you dont handle your headset like an eggshell every time. Headset is great, but VERY fragile. I paid $150 for the Arctis 7X back in December 2020. I may get these too for backup.

9x is an older model. Steel Series released the newer Nova model and so they're getting rid of the 9x

Almost forgot, best part about the 7X is they work on all consoles, flip that tiny switch on the reciever and you can use it on Xbox or PlayStation, or PC !!! However I am reading now, that the 9X does not work on multiple consoles, like the 7X !

Had one of these that stopped charging in less than a year. Luckily Steel series covered it and sent me a replacement.

Do these suffer from the same wireless interference issues that most headsets have? My corsair xbox headset cuts out often :/
