Okay... and? You're not proving the point you think you are
I was pointing out how your posts are contradicting each other. Later you even go on to say that you stayed at the Hyatt Vendome in Paris, which is eligible for the AMEX Platinum hotel credit. You know, the credit for hotels you'd never stay at…
I don't know why that is and I stopped caring, I'm sure some people will be able to look at card benefits for themselves before picking one up, and not go by someone's opinions in the Slickdeals' forum.

You don't know that hyatt is not a transfer partner with amex. You should do a bit more research before you get a card, especially if you can only afford either the amex platinum or csr.
Hyatt IS a transfer partner for csr. Hyatt redemptions are one of the best use for chase points.
You're talking about using the amex credit to cover $200 for ONE night vs using chase points to stay at hyatt for a week with NO cash out of pocket.
I'm really confused with what you're trying to say. But you clearly need to do a bit more research before trying to snipe at me.
If I have been approved for 1 chase preferred card in the last 18 months, used the bonus for preferred and then downgraded the card, will I be automatically declined?
Additionally, the Sapphire Reserve is not available to either current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, nor is it available to previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months.

Any travel blog should have an article listing all of Chase's airline partners, here's one of them: https://onemileatatime.
