i think same applies for NY.
in other states, they would send an engineer to customer's address to verify and check and support.
This sounds like the burn-in warranty is almost pointless in CA/NY then if customer bears shipping cost.
Does anyone have more info on this or any past experiences?

November 25 (Black Friday)...?
I get that most of the time Black Friday deals are either lower end products or SKUs made cheaply for Black Friday, but at this point you are betting AGAINST the current trend in regular price drops not to expect a $1597 + $150 GC or similar promotion.
At a certain point, waiting for a 65" C2 to get even cheaper may be worth it, but you have to ask yourself, would you say you got $100 worth of value in a single month using the TV?
I'd be upgrading my 65b7 that has had burn-in twice. First time the panel was replaced under warranty. The second time it is out of warranty and we are just living with it for now.

First time was probably year 3 and it was the mute icon burned in 3 places and then a logo from "E!" That burned in after my wife would pause what she was watching to talk to her mom.
This latest time (year 5) it just seems like the entire middle of the screen has a dark oval to it when displaying red.
Both times it was mainly only noticeable when displaying red.

The warranty is different from the one in Singapore e.g. labor is not covered in the US. Parts are also not covered in the US (only the panel is) for year 2 and 3, and beyond.
