i am in CA, and talked to buyDig customer support and they said while burn-in is covered, if an issue happens, customer is responsible to ship the tv to service center at their own expense and insurance/serviceCenter will evaluate that case.
i think same applies for NY.
in other states, they would send an engineer to customer's address to verify and check and support.

This sounds like the burn-in warranty is almost pointless in CA/NY then if customer bears shipping cost.

Does anyone have more info on this or any past experiences?

October 26 - SlickDeal Posts BuyDig C2 65" $1697 + $150 GC.
November 25 (Black Friday)...?

I get that most of the time Black Friday deals are either lower end products or SKUs made cheaply for Black Friday, but at this point you are betting AGAINST the current trend in regular price drops not to expect a $1597 + $150 GC or similar promotion.

At a certain point, waiting for a 65" C2 to get even cheaper may be worth it, but you have to ask yourself, would you say you got $100 worth of value in a single month using the TV?

This could be the deal I've waited for... Decisions decisions. I was looking at the Costco deal for same timeframe ($2500) but its 5yr warranty does not cover burn-in and this includes the extra $175 GC.

I'd be upgrading my 65b7 that has had burn-in twice. First time the panel was replaced under warranty. The second time it is out of warranty and we are just living with it for now.

Price will keep coming down, waiting is better if one doesn't need it right away but it's good to get this sooner to avoid Holiday shipping delays later on

This is worse than the deal they had last week for the 65" model. The included warranty used to cover devices under $2000 (valued at $299) and the gift card was $175. Now the warranty only covers devices under $1500 (valued at $249) and the gift card is $150. I'm not even sure the included warranty will be honored since the the TV costs more than the warranty allows. Hoping it's just a mistake attaching the wrong warranty to the higher priced items, but I wouldn't buy this until they change it.

The starting MSRP is going to be lower starting 10/26. Don't buy today. On 10/26 it'll be $1697 + $150GC =$1547 instead of the previous deal's $1797+$175GC=$1622. You're right about the warranty, but it's pretty close.

As a note Buy Dig runs these various promos but doesnt always have the TV in stock. I am still waiting for a ship notice on the 42 inch C2 from the ebay deal and nothing but canned messages when i reach out. Mind you they charged my card at time of purchase. Price may seem right but probably better off trying to get a PM elsewhere. They seem to be getting shady in recent months.

Do they actually give you the visa gift card or do they refund that gift card amount back to your original payment? I believe I read somewhere in this forum that they might be refunding that Visa gift card amount back to your original payment method.
No Visa gift card, I bought twice and they just credited credit card, all good.

The warranty says "under $1,500" what am I missing here?
I know I noticed that too I'm holding off until the date that Op put. But it's still going to be short unless they fix it I hope it's just a typo. And isn't there a 5-year warranty that comes with the TV because of the model number.

It's a warranty card from a 3rd-party warranty provider - you register it once you get the TV. I'm sure this is just a copy/paste error - they should include the correct card for your purchase price.

The 83" actually shows the correct one, so they're not all wrong.

G2 has 5 year LG warranty. This deal is for C2 (1 year standard LG warranty) and I think the CPS 4 year warranty overlaps with the LG warranty (not extends it) so you still get 4 years. If you pay with a credit card you might get an extra year through that. However, with Chase, for example, it might only add a year to the 1-year LG part so you'd still have parallel warranty for two years overlapping with the 4-year CPS one. Then determining how successful people are actually making a warranty claim with CPS is a whole can of worms. Buying and registering is usually easy (gives positive reviews online saying it was free and they registered), but who knows how they handle an actual burn-in claim after 3.5 years or something. Same with kid throwing something and breaking the screen or whatever. There are also reports of LG replacing burnt in panels on a C7 or something a few years out of warranty as good-will or customer satisfaction measures and these newer models have different pixel structure/size to help prevent burn-in more than the earlier models. In other words, the warranty has questionable value, but it's free/included so why not... wouldn't pay $250-300 for it, though.

Anyone comment on this being a good TV for screen uniformity issues. Really looking for a great picture for multiple uses (gaming, sports, movies in a dark room) DSE and uniformity issues driving me crazy with LED panels I've tried.
