Try paypal10 or wowfresh to get 10$ more off making it 69.99$. If you think it about it the remote cost is 50$ alone so you would be paying 20$ for the box if the code worked for you. I had the previous gen and was looking to get the remote and found this deal so for me it was a no brainer. I will put the box on my old tv which is 1080p.

edit: just checked the remote price on best buy it's 60$.

I have a roku tv from 2017, in the bedroom, that is borderline unusable due to software updates slowing it down. It's not 4k but would this essentially extend its life of it for a few years? I

Something like this would completely make the speed of your Roku tv irrelevant and basically extend it's life indefinitely. Just factory reset the TV and set it up without connecting to the internet. Then tell the TV to go to this input when being powered on. Voila, you're back in business. You can do the same with any other external source though, so if you like the Roku software you could get a newer Roku streaming device, or a Chromecast with Google TV for $20 or a Fire Stock. It's all up to you.
