I just signed up for a card and used it with the new ACH feature to pay my mortagage! yes it works not even lying. i gained 100 points for doing a "TEST" payment for $100 as a one time payment and it went through.

I made only 250 points per month for 2 month worth of rents. Apparently there is this 5 transactions rule.
I lost points by just using the card once a month for rent.
I've paid multiple home mortgages with it for many months now. They recently changed the system though.. so now I need to see if it'll still work after April.

i am actually going to submit my first mortgage this april fingers crossed (Ameris Bank) for my mortgage. I did do a test $100 payment and that went through
Not true at all.
You get a routing number and an account number and can either mail a check to your rental company, or provide the rounting/account number like a check to your online bill pay system.
I got a bilt card in April, so feel free to ask me any questions, def worth it for all the free points, and I got a bunch of referrals, so got a bonus 50k points too.

Someone explain why SDers are so cautious about paying mortgage through this card but reddit users are saying they've been doing it for a year. There is even a list of all the mortgage companies and banks that it works with.
The actual payoff is close to 0.1% and there are many requirements that are easy to screw up and lose all points for the month.
This is a predatory product that depends on renters being poor and dumb and not being good at paying their credit cards off on time. They want you to get behind so they can charge you 29% apr on thousands of dollars of rent balance and make you even poorer.

Don't do it. They will flag your transaction.

I just won't carry a balance on it.
Good luck to us both!
You might be able to use it to get status on another airline with a status match deal.
