but it's a little overkill to me to store static data , unless you want really fast backup and restore
( assuming you have USB 3.0 or higher ports )
If you only have usb 2.0 ports you will most likely not see any speed benefits from the SSD )

Thanks! I checked my email right before I logged into work, and saw the notification. I bought it right away. You can also store your PS5 games on external storage, but you have to move them to the internal NVME SSD or expansion NVME SSD to play them.

Actually, an SSD would be a little faster than mechanical even on usb 2.0
But the value would mostly be wasted.
Probably a thumb drive would be more appropriate. This is better if you are frequently accessing large files or application storage.
