I have the 575. Its not bad, but also not incredible. Its super easy to make good food, though to me its never "Great". This model doesnt have "Super Smoke" so dont expect a heavy smoke flavor. Also pretty small, 2 shoulders are about all you can really fit on this. If I was getting another one, I'd opt for a larger size and with the super smoke function

I also got the 575 recently. You can remedy this by using an a-maze-n smoke tube.

In this price range, I'd recommend Camp Chef. Best bang for your buck. If you're not in a rush, wait for another $400 deal on the Camp Chef DLX 24. Great grills and customer support. Can always up your investment if you find yourself smoking a lot.

Edit: The DLX 24 is $470 on Amazon right now and $500 at Home Depot. Decent deals since MSRP is $600, but as mentioned above, it sometimes goes as low as $400.

You just don't have to spend much money at all on a smoker. I grabbed a $300 camp chef, and later upgraded to a $2500 Traeger. You get more connectivity when you spend more but the food still tastes the same.

There are many other more affordable pellet grill options these days that use practically the same parts as Traeger, Pit Boss is good example.

The newer Traegers are not as food as the old ones. Check out offerup etc. and buy an old one and replace any parts it needs. Much better quality and bang for your buck.
