I got the cheaper version of this board (no wifi) for $60 and the CPU for $80 a month or so ago... So, this is a better deal. Working just fine! I did not need a BIOS update. You would to use this board with 5-series, I think.

I bought this combo when it was $100 (which is now expired) because it can support 5000 series CPUs. I'm planning to use it with the current 3600 CPU it comes with until there is a great deal on high end 5000 series CPUs in the future.

Outside of cooling, is anything I need to consider about using this lower end motherboard with a higher end CPU like the 5900x/5950x?

System will already have:

DDR4 16GB 3600MHz (2x8GB sticks)
Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler
850w PSU
GTX1080 (actively looking to upgrade)

I ordered a combo on Wednesday for pickup at $100 and got it Thursday. While at MC, I decided to grab another and the price had gone up but manager blessed a second combo at the same $100 price point. New computers for the grand kids for Chrismas.

Mine came with the F62 BIOS. Easy build I slapped together last night - spent an hour or so installing Win10 and benchmarking it. Its comparable to my Asrock B450m Pro 4 in most regards, altho it does have built in wifi as a plus.

I actually just pulled the trigger on a 2060 open box amazon warehouse, was $240 before tax. Theres a good ram kit on sale on new egg if you need ram. $41 for 16 gb ddr4 3600, paired with that and an open box PC Case at micro center. Kids got a hell of a machine for like $550 lol

(There is 1 of those 2060 cards open box left on amazon btw $246.39, its not the 12 gb model but that one is only like 4% faster)

Double Edit: Cancelled the original 2060 order and then ordered an Open Box 2060 KO for $196 on amazon Applause

This sale brings what would be considered a current mid-range system (without the GPU) down to the price of a budget build while leaving the flexibility to upgrade to a 16 core processor should you be able to afford it.

If you're sticking with 1080p resolution and not editing multimedia content.
