I chatted with OnePlus support online.

"I would like to inform you that OnePlus 9 Unlocked devices come with globally unified and unlocked device from the factory itself. It will support all carrier bands.
And OnePlus 9 T-Mobile Unlock is carrier locked device. And due to website error it is mentioned as T-Mobile Unlock. However, it is carrier locked device.
LE2115 is North America unlock variant device and LE2117 is T-Mobile."

So I definitely want Unlocked (LE2115). Although this T-Mobile version might work for me now since I am on Mint (T-Mobile MVNO), I want to have the flexibility to use the phone on other carriers, e.g., when I travel overseas.

Am I the only one that has terrible issues with typing on this phone? I used it for a while when I sent my Pixel 6 is for repair and it would miss letters constantly. I could not figure out why it would fail to register my typing.

Edit: someone asked if I have a screen protector. I do not. I had also spent some time troubleshooting it, full wipe, set up as new no backup restored, clearing data, turning off vibration, a different keyboard, etc etc. Issue persisted. I sort of wanted to stick with it but I can't deal with typing issues.

I commented on my experience in another thread on the OP9: Picked it up for $150 from the BB deal a couple of months ago. It's fine more or less, but my biggest complaint so far is - speakerphone volume on cell calls is low and you can't hear it at all in a semi-noisy environment. On media, Viber/WhatsApp calls, etc. the volume is plenty high, so it's not a speaker problem at all. I found a couple of comments about this online but not any major amount of complaints, so I'm wondering if it's just mine that's defective? Does anyone else notice a large volume diff. between speakerphone cell calls and media (YouTube, etc) volume?
Op, I got into the same deal, mine is unlocked GSM version, LE2115, android 12, high volume on youtube and regular speaker phone are nearly equal, you might want to engage CS for the issue.

For some reason am only getting $100 off and total is $349 and not $299 for the 9.

For the 9 Pro it is showing current discounted price of $399.

Also, the trade in for my 7T is showing as only $50 for the 9 whereas for the 9 Pro showing $250 (with additional $200 trade-in credit)
they said only TMO version is $299

this or the pixel 6a? I bought the one last week?
I have both, 6A if you want longer security patches 6A. For me personally OP 9 5G, it has the near flagship feel.

Bought OnePlus Ace Pro 12G/256G from China which is the same thing as 10T in US. For $443 which includes import duty. For my experience, OnePlus of US won't be responsible to any manufacture defective and system error even in warranty. So I deal with those risks. And since I know, the seller provide 2 years support if the device has problem.

its real good deal, I traded OP8 5G final cost after the trade-in would be $142,

best part is you get $250 coupon for your next phone
I should be getting $200 cash back after trade in. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I owned this phone for over 2 months and I loved it. Excellent battery life and super snappy performance. The screen was great too with the 120hz refresh. Only problem is that the front facing camera lacks any dynamic range and the main camera has a pretty slow shutter. If you don't prioritize camera speed and top notch quality, I'd happily rebuy this for $300.

For anyone stuck trying to unlock the T-Mobile version, try contacting the T-Mobile support team on Facebook. I purchased a T-Mobile OnePlus 8T for $200 awhile back and I never was able to unlock the device with the built in app but after contacting the T-Mobile support team on FB and notifying the support rep that I purchased the device directly from OnePlus, the rep took care of it for me immediately. The whole process took 10-15 min total and was much less of a hassle than I would have imagined.

You should always chat with T-Mobile via twitter tforce I think! Fastestway to get any action mine was unlocked within hours was a Samsung though I would not think it matters if purchased outright!
This is the right answer, I did it through FB but good to know Twitter is an option as well!

B/c the ppi is set too high. It's probably 425 like the op8.
Set to 405 in developer options and start there. It's not persistent through reboot, but you can test.
I know you can make it perm (at least with root), but haven't bothered since I never reboot.

Sneaky Oneplus today dropped base trade values for all Oneplus phones about $40 less for most devices.

FYI this T-mobile version cannot be unlocked out of the box. I bought one last week and cannot request unlock from T-mobile, kept saying "Unlock Failed Not Eligible for Unlock." Will be sending it back

T-mobile says you need 45 days of paid service on it.
Wouldn't that be illegal, b/c you paid up front for the phone at full value? Sounds shady AF.
