This is not a pump. It is the attachment that goes on the end of an air hose that is attached to a compressor.

Wow I'm dumbfounded that I didn't see this clearly. Thank you for clarifying this for me.

Yep. Anything I open and find a Duracell battery I replace right away. You can't imagine coming home to a 95° home in the winter lol

I bought a bunch of Rayovac from a home Depot deal here a while ago and haven't had any issues with them.

edit: if you still have the old digital attachment try cleaning the battery springs with isopropyl alcohol and an old toothbrush and let it dry. I had decent luck with that method.

Thanks for the info, I've gone lithium rechargeable in AA and triples since for most all of my devices.

I tried cleaning the contacts but you could clearly see where the battery acid leached in and destroyed point where the springs attatch to the PCB, I may disassemble and see if its possible to cut them back a bit and resolder if the board looks OK.

I wonder how long will it takes to hand pump air to 40 PSI?

Costco for example has nitrogen air and it fill up pretty quick. I liked it a lot. The problem is that no one has Costco nearby and making a stop there or at gas station just for the air alone during this season or winter is rather inconvenient and impractical hence the appeal of this deal despite negative reviews (But it just $10!)
Some these portable inflators work just fine for topping off a few PSI,as long as they're not huge truck tires.

I have a compressor, mostly for my air nailers. It just got colder recently and my TPMS light came on. I still used the little 120V Husky to top off my tires instead of firing up the air compressor.

And I keep one these cheap Amazon 12v inflators in my car's trunk for emergency sake. https://slickdeals.net/f/15009121-vaclife-air-compressor-tire-inflator-12-50-free-shipping?v=1
It also works fine for top offs on my car. Again the cords may not reach or the power may be lacking depending on the size of YOUR vehicle

How accurate is the gauge would be my first question. Many of the air gauges on inflators are highly inaccurate.

This. The fact this goes to 150 psi means it won't be accurate at all at the lower pressures for car tires. If you're just looking for a grip and have a separate meter this is a good deal but if you're hoping to use the gauage in this thing look elsewhere for digital or analog that only goes up to 60 psi or less

I see you don't know the difference between a gauge and a pump...

Yep. The title (not really OP's fault) is kind of deceiving.

I have been eyeballing that for some time. I've never seen it near 60. Always around 80-90 lowest. How come you're not posting it when it's on sale

Belle Tire eliminated the need for these, just go there, punch in the pressure you want and boom, done and all free. I'm still going to buy this though. LOL

Can this be attached to any tire compressor? I guess the pump has to be electric; can't imagine manually pumping on one hand and holding the gun on the other, lol.

There is little difference between the expansion rates of nitrogen and air (which is about 70% nitrogen). The main difference, when used for tire inflation, is that compressed air contains some water vapor, unless certain processes are employed to remove it. This causes increased thermal expansion in proportion to the quantity of water vapor present. Compressed nitrogen gas, as supplied, is "dry" and not subject to the effects of water vapor.

It's the water vapor that can be in compressed air that's the the culprit, not the air vs nitrogen at face value

Was going to ask this, too. I have one similar to this and it's at least 5 psi off. Not very helpful having to mentally calculate what the real pressure is while filling up. Always have to double check with my digital gauge, quite annoying.

I was going to buy one of each but the reviews are pretty terrible.
