I would suggest do some tests on several higher models what you can get for the best value because those 2 $ 10 coupons, and 20% off stack for these over 50 including those on already sale. I was able to get $56 one HB 30 cup model in black for $18 free ship, almost this price but much higher value and highly rated. (Though I used additional 15 in kohls reward that I had no use for, before expiring)

I fill to about 2-3mm below the suggested water level, and I always wash my rice at least 4x and this rice cooker always turns out great rice.
If you have the time, let your rice soak for at least an hour before cooking.
What type of rice are you using?
I usually have Jasmine

And a tiger or zojirushi makes a difference for Jasmine rice? I thought it only made a difference for short grain rice
That would refer to the brand "Zojirushi". I think it has its pros and cons. Check youtube for those clickbaity "$10 rice cooker vs $200 rice cooker!" videos for a comparison.
This is why I got this one
The steam attachment is great for making gyoza or wontons or bao while cooking rice , the cons are that it leaves a skin on the rice especially if you don't get it out of the cooker the second it pops ,also you have to remember to unplug it right after it pops becat it doesn't turn off itself
It nearly filled the pot. Not much space for much more rice or water.
Rice was fine compared to our usual Tiger rice cooker. This one is going to a rental for my kids apartment next year.
