The math checks out that this is probably like last years BF deal for the reliant tires, with free one-time mounting and balancing included ($12 per tire)

Savings of $128 is $80 for the tires, $48 for the labor... Which comes out to $12 a tire. Since it's $17 for lifetime balancing and rotation (now) , you'd pay the $5 balance x 4 to get it to $68 total for labor.

You can also pay $10 x 4 for road hazard, but IMO, when tires are this cheap (for my car at least), it almost isn't worth it... Just get a new tire for that $40.

If you get goodyear brand tires, goodyear stores will fix your flats for free even if you didn't buy it from them... That's usually the bulk of the road hazard coverage that I acrually use.

I have the reliants on my '13 prius... No issues at all. Very thick tread depth even after a year, and though my car isn't a hotrod by any measure, these have worked great through all types of weather. Haven't tested them in the winter as I switch to winter every January.

In past years these deals included mounting and lifetime balance. I will update the OP once the full terms are available on Walmart.com.

UPDATE: The banner which was shared multiple times in this thread clearly shows free install and balance. I had a chat with Walmart, and they stated it is a free one-time balance with the installation. If I wanted lifetime balance, then I must pay extra. I contacted my local Walmart, and they confirmed this, and said they are doing free installs and one time balance up to and including Sunday November 27th.

Click the link below and look at post #342 for a screenshot showing free install and balance if you have a problem at the Walmart installation center.

The CURRENT "gold" banner lists install and balance in one sentence.

https://www.walmart.com/browse/au...3ADelivery

You get to it by clicking "shop now" on the banner which says "Goodyear and Cooper tires, get $20 off per tire, plus free balancing ($128 value)"

I dont believe this is a conspiracy as much as it is just really bad site management and backend stack for these BF deals. I wonder how many of those jet.com people actually stayed after the purchase...

Walmart does not charge for TPMS service pack (like Costco does), and you dont need to buy a valve stem if your current one is fine. The language is all identical to last year's deal.

I am more worried about the tires just never coming in (which happened for several days last year) and then having to re-order them. Then all of the appts were booked up until December, and by then, the manager had to override the cost of installation.

In 2021 it was $11 for install, $14 for lifetime. SDers paid $12 extra for lifetime for all four.
In 2022, not sure on install (prob $12), but its definitely $17 for lifetime. The implication is that we all pay $20 extra for lifetime.

Got an appt for this coming Saturday at 9am. Lets see how it goes...

Well, since this deal was full of glitches and nonsense I just took the quote to my local Discount Tire and Tires Plus. Then I let them duke it out with each other for an even lower price on comparable tires. Walked out with Tires Plus winning my money (as usual), and I'm getting four new 205/55R16 Falken Ziex ZE960s (my favorite tires) installed, balanced, and tax included for $298.59 out-the-door.

#Winning

Plus I made an appointment, so I'll be out the door in under 1 hour AND they'll be installed by people trained properly to do their job (looking at you Walmart #2734 who moved the incompetent cart pusher to TLE to fill the staffing hole. I used to work there...until the day that happened).

I got them last bf and have had 6k miles so far. They've been great for me. This is the article (and the user comments are helpful, too) is what solidified my decision to go with the Reliants:

Ok guys, I just paid for 2 tires separately and use code paypal10 to get an additional $10 off, on top of the $20 discount per tire sale (must use PayPal with this code). For the second tire, I used the code "wowfresh" for the $10. With this code, you don't need to use PayPal...but I did, just to keep it all in one place. There is a third code but I forgot what it was. Just search for that thread on SD and despite some claims none of the codes worked for them, 2 of them worked for me. It is $10 of off $50 thread. I hope this helped add a lil more values to those wanting/needing it. It's a lil more hassle to buy tires separately but it's the only way to get $10 off for each tires. Sorry if someone else already mentioned it. I'm on break and don't have time to read thru all posts to check. Good 👍

This is the replacement for their viva line of tires for GY. It is rated for 65k. I bought 2 previously and just paid for another 2 as of this post. I had the first two now for about 6 months and they still looked new on my RX300 suv. This was meant to be a good value tire from a well-known brand and so far, it is. It's not the cheapest Walmart carries but is a good, solid performing tire for decent low price. As for performance and road noise, I have no complaints. But then again, I'm not taking corners at 40 mph in the rain, so take it for what it's worthWink

Placed an order (including installation) on Monday night for the Goodyear Reliant. Order cancelled, but still showing available at my Columbus, OH store. I'll stop by there later today and see if I can buy. I'm wondering if the cancellations are due to installation appointments.

If you plan to keep the car 3+ years and/or 25k+ then YES!!!

Longer life and better performance from the Outlast. The Reliant are ok entry level tires. But the Outlast are a good step above them.

Wowfresh is for food items only and doesn't work on tires! I just verified it.

Paypal10 is a huge ymmv if using paypal as payment method.

Apparently you have not read any of the thread of Walmart coupon codes which was FP. Smh
