Savings of $128 is $80 for the tires, $48 for the labor... Which comes out to $12 a tire. Since it's $17 for lifetime balancing and rotation (now) , you'd pay the $5 balance x 4 to get it to $68 total for labor.
You can also pay $10 x 4 for road hazard, but IMO, when tires are this cheap (for my car at least), it almost isn't worth it... Just get a new tire for that $40.
If you get goodyear brand tires, goodyear stores will fix your flats for free even if you didn't buy it from them... That's usually the bulk of the road hazard coverage that I acrually use.
I have the reliants on my '13 prius... No issues at all. Very thick tread depth even after a year, and though my car isn't a hotrod by any measure, these have worked great through all types of weather. Haven't tested them in the winter as I switch to winter every January.
UPDATE: The banner which was shared multiple times in this thread clearly shows free install and balance. I had a chat with Walmart, and they stated it is a free one-time balance with the installation. If I wanted lifetime balance, then I must pay extra. I contacted my local Walmart, and they confirmed this, and said they are doing free installs and one time balance up to and including Sunday November 27th.

Honestly you could do this over the phone also, but they tend to take you more seriously in-person. This typically also means you get a more aggressive deal in-person. Anyone can 'say' they got a certain price across the street, but when it's on paper in front of them they know it's legit.
The Outlast test better than the Defenders so the price cut and free install would be better right now.
Only issue I have told my customers about the outlast is they cost to much. But when this deal happens I go from no to yes on recommending them.
Whats the tire size? Is it 205/70-16? No Outlast or Reliant in that size.
Cheapest good tire in that size is the Hankook Kinergy PT (H737) for $115 each plus install. Great all-season long life tire that is quiet. I put 2 of these on my moms car.

If they are ok with an optional tire size the 215/65-16 is only 1.1% smaller and cost $83 for the reliant. Not as good as the Outlast but the only size I can find that would fit if you replace all 4 at the same time.

The Outlast will last longer but not perform as well in snow.
The Cross Climate is also directional so should work a little better in heavy rain also but will make more noise as you can not rotate them from side to side.
Unless you drive in a lot of light snow and/or really heavy rain the Outlast would get my vote. But if you need more snow/rain performance and are ok with the shorter life and little more road noise then the Cross Climate's would work better.

my local tire shop is almost exactly the same price as walmart for these tires installed. plus their techs are competent, so if i pay a few bucks more, who cares. im supporting the local economy and not dealing with surprise charges.
i find it odd that you seem to be taking criticism towards this deal personally.
