Yep if you have the highest plan Protect Plus.

For extended warranty coverage to apply to your Ring device, the device must be within its original warranty period when you subscribe to Ring Protect Plus. Once the original warranty expires, the device will be covered under Ring protect Plus until you discontinue your subscription. Non-Ring and other third-party devices are not eligible for the extended warranty.

For this price, it should be 1536p resolution

The 1536p version is sold for $260

Original ring pro owner here as well, I just had to search for "ring pro" and it showed up.
When I type 'ring pro' under the 'Find your model(s) to trade in' screen, the first option says 'Ring Video Doorbell Pro - Upgraded, with added security features and a sleek design (existing doorbell required).

Is that what I should select to trade in my 2019 model of the Ring Video Doorbell Pro? It seems odd that the first trade-in option says 'Upgraded', but the 'Upgraded' is the item I'm actually trying to purchase.

+100 to everyone who says to get the Pro 2 Refurb ($160) over this as I just did. You can watch comparison reviews online (between the basic Ring Hardwired, Pro, and Pro 2). The Pro 2 has noticeably better image quality and the wider vertical field of view (head to toe feature) is very nice to have.

https://youtu.be/m2Kdaj1Jx9I?t=328 <-- this timestamp has a side-by-side of all three.

If you look at the reviews, they go all the way back to 2016. There has not been a different version of the Ring Pro even if Amazon added "upgraded" to the product title. This particular ASIN looks like it was created sometime in 2021, but it's in a variation with the original Ring Pro product listing at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DM6BDA4 , which is why it inherited all of the reviews.

That's interesting to see, although to be honest the bigger reason for me is the taller image in the fisheye view, and the ability to ignore motion that's far away. Those made it "worth it" to upgrade for me.

I've owned my Ring Pro since Sept. 2016. It's still working but I bit the bullet and ordered this replacement with the Amazon trade-in for $40+tax total (20% off device purchase + $40 gift card). Relatively cheap upgrade to a new unit thanks to this thread, which I only found out about today, with info on the trade-in program that I wasn't aware about before.

What the difference between the 2016 version and this one (non-Pro 2)?

There's no difference; they're the same device. These things do eventually fail (presumably or mainly because of the little 200 mAh Li-Po battery that's in them) so it made sense for me to get a brand new one for $40 + tax.

What a cluster-f. I did the trade-in with an older Ring Pro and got my $40 credit immediately, as well as the 20% discount applied to a new Ring Pro. I received it and installed it, worked fine for a day and then the pulsating white light of death. This is with the same 24V transformer that the previous Ring Pro has been working for many years with zero issues. I had already sent the old Ring Pro back...

Now the fun part - I called Ring and they ran through troubleshooting steps, eventually telling me that it needs to be replaced - but they can't replace it because it's sold through Amazon, which I don't understand. But they flatly refused. I imagine if I had been outside of the return period, and within the warranty period, they would have been willing to do a warranty exchange? I don't know what the deal is with refusing the replace this item.

So I chat with Amazon, and they told me that they cannot do a replacement, only a return/rebuy, but I would lose my 20% promo because it's a "one time" promo and cannot be reused. I tried every which way and just could not get a different answer. I asked if they can just credit my account with $20 but they said no.
Just buy another.... and use new receipt to return broken one

Some of us were affected by the cracked button issue that Ring refuses to fix. If they sent me a replacement button I would have replaced it myself, but I guess it requires disassembling the Ring Pro so they didn't want to deal with the mess of customers messing up the replacement and then going back to them for even more issues.

I was actually hunting for a broken "for parts" Ring Pro on eBay to harvest the button out of, got lazy, and then saw this deal.

Yea, I gave up and returned it, and bought a Ring Pro 2 from Ring directly. Amazon's policies are so stupid.

How does this compare to the Ring Video Doorbell Wired? I saw the below links on wired plus chime or another deal on SD for $70. Isnt this a better deal than this?
