Links to those "reviews" you want us to read, please?

I'd actually link you some of them, right now:

1. Jarrod's Tech [youtube.com] - Despite reviewing the much more power-hungry configuration of this, i9 + RTX 3080 Ti, he still reported the battery life to be around 6 hours.
2. Matthew Moniz [youtube.com] - He reviewed the same model as Jarrod; however, he indeed reported it to be around 2 hours. It could be that he got a lemon, and I'd personally believe Jarrod more than Matthew (despite following them both)
3. Ben G Kaiser [youtube.com] - reviewed this exact same configuration as in the deal and reported the battery life to be 6 hours with normal use, which is respectable.

All these reviews stated the thermals to be well managed and under control, and certainly never got "very warm" according to you.

When Jarrod's tech can get 6 hours from the i9 + RTX 3080 Ti, there's no way this won't get just as much if not more, certainly not 2 hours that's for sure.

Next time try to come up with facts/links to back up your statements instead of throwing words in the air with no knowledge whatsoever.

Because it's not just a gaming laptop but primarily a creator laptop as well. Hence, why you see the AMOLED screen with excellent color coverage and brightness but also just a 60Hz refresh rate and lower wattage GPU.

Is there a 3070 Ti laptop that doesn't get horrible battery life? Serious question.

How is Gigabyte support in the US? I heard it was not very good.

Is that actually likely before the end of the year?

I've been looking for a new laptop (my AW 13R3 is on its last legs), and this seems like a pretty solid deal. 12th gen CPU, RTX 3070 Ti, 4k OLED, reasonable amount of RAM and storage, and 3 USB-C ports (w/ charging and USB4/TB). Gigabyte support makes me a little nervous, but I'm not new to the PC game.

Just a warning to everyone, this laptop gets horrible battery life, like 2 hours, and gets very warm. Read the reviews.

I have a similar spec'ed Alienware m15r7 but with 130w 3070 ti limit and 240hz 1440p screen and I'm getting a little over 2 hours...so either this battery watt hours are lower or it's just plain not optimized. Gaming laptops are meant to be plugged in =/...I hear AMD laptops are way more efficient with battery power though.

OLEDs (especially high resolution ones) are notoriously battery hungry from what I've seen, so that might explain the comparable battery life despite having a lower-wattage limit on the GPU.

And yes, the AMD CPUs have much better battery life in general than the Alder Lake laptops from what I've seen so far.

Optimally I'd like to see this how the battery life and performance would be on this same chassis but with an AMD 6900HS and its integrated 680M. I don't game on laptops, so I'd love to have the 4K OLED with the efficiency of the AMD CPU and "good enough" performance of the 680M for things like Photoshop. I'd imagine it would be a great photo editing laptop and have like 6+ hours of battery life.

I'm sure the 4k doesn't help… Plus I've heard OLEDs actually use a lot of power compared to ips.

- Too get max battery: Slide power slider left, urn off/disable the 3070 Ti, and brightness.

I doubt these big boy are meant to be used on your lap in a park. More for portability when traveling.

Maybe it is just the GPU, but I had a different laptop with a 3060 that would get 4-5 hours battery life.

It's abysmal. Their support and build quality are bad. Gigabyte and Acer are two companies that build decent specced laptops at good prices, but the quality and support are both lacking.
