Unless they've changed their policy over the last few years - no, you do not get the 1% if you pay it off early. I confirmed this with citi at the time. Maybe they've changed their policy however.
dude, you couldnt be more wrong. you must be confused with a diff card. The very premise of the card is you get 1% when you charge, and the second 1% when you pay off the charge. And that hasn't changed in the 3-5 (feels like forever) years I've used this card.
Wells Fargo is nice because you get the 2% on purchases and also 15 Months no interest. You can carry a balance and keep your $$$ in the bank earning interest. Only thing I don't like is having to have $25 in rewards to cash it out.

No really concerned what you think as I confirmed it years ago with Citi directly - and doing the math (that's when I noticed I wasn't getting the amount of rebate I thought I should). That is the way it used to be. Maybe they changed it since. It does appear they have changed it upon reading the contract language.

Yes, you can generate virtual numbers with this card
Thank you! I have this card and I literally looked to see if I could create a virtual card with it like 6 hours ago and couldn't find the option so I assumed it wasn't an option. Thanks to your comment I went and looked again and managed to find it this time.
This might be a stupid question but I'll ask anyways. You still get 2% even if you pay it off immediately?
You get 1% when making purchases and 1% when making payments. does not matter when, i pay mine off every month and never have been charged any interest and no problems with earning the cash back.
My go-to card when I need online protection since they're one of the few cards left that offer virtual account numbers. The Citi apps makes it easy to create and use them.
Are you able to create VCCs? I havent been able to in about 5 months

Yes. The 1% for your payment will post in the next billing cycle along with your spend on that cycle. Hope that makes sense
