I would say yes. USB 3.2 and type A connection.

I was looking though my MicroCenter purchase history and found the receipt for a Buffalo 1TB hard drive with Ethernet in 2009 for $139. :-) It is still being used for games on a modded Wii.

Not bad considering the 1TB version is about the same price as buying a separate 2.5" SSD and DIYing it with an external enclosure but without the hassle. I suspect this would be great for the Xbox Series X|S to store and play older Xbox One and 360 games from to free up the internal storage for X|S games?

Do we know which actual SSD is inside of this thing? Cheapest to buy like Team CX2? Or something like MX500? Big Grin

I can't imagine whatever is inside to be cheaper than a Team CX2, which is $50 for a TB right now... add an external USB case and you're back around this price. But I think for storing XBOX games (ie. few writes compared to reads), even a TeamGroup CX2 would be sufficient. That's why I'd also say a MX500 is a bit overkill for storing XBOX games. If you want to go with Crucial, the BX500 would suffice just to save a few bucks over the MX500.

I have a Buffalo 1TB ministation extreme that's at least 8 years old maybe more and is still running solid. I've casually wondered about getting another since this has been going strong.

Newegg a has nice transparent O-r-i-c-o USB3 enclosure for $6.3 from time to time. It supports UASP, and the design is pretty nice, I bought a few by now. So with a BF 1TB SSD for less than $50, and an O-r-i-c-o, you can beat $60 quite easily Smilie

I did some googling and found lontv did a review on theses drives. Oddly the usb stick outperforms the external drives. I would buy this one because of the format (key drive) and speed. Good find!

Mine was a 1TB external drive that worked for a long time, but unfortunately bit the dust few years back. I was able to recover everything though. Pulled everything out as soon as I started hearing the weird little scream it started making. I still have it somewhere in the garage Smilie
