Who knows, but the quality is just as good....
I was slowly replacing my house switches for the last ~ 3 years with kasa devices and this is going to be my third and the last iteration after which the transition will be completed! By this point I own around 40 devices and I'll tell you that I had close to 0 issues with them. My garage switch randomly disconnected once and I had to reset it, thats it, no issues during 3 years of usage. The best part is that if you consider switching from alexa or google to home assistant OS - kasa devices use local pulling which means that all your devices will communicate over you local network and NOT through the cloud. This means insane response times and reliability plus no internet required to run automations. Highly recommend kasa products!

P.S. they did mess up big time with 3 way dimmer switches though. There are multiple issues with the first version that can't be fixed with firmware updates so make sure to buy the V2 version only. I already installed one and it works flawlessly.
I use the smart plugs for holiday lights, and have 4 Wi-Fi switches for outdoor lighting. They all work on schedules and are fantastic!

Got a few of the outdoor dimmer plugs to use indoors about a year ago. They work pretty well. Not many "smart" dimmer plugs out there. They don't dim as low as analog ones, but they go to around 10-20% depending on the bulbs. One was defective and flickered, but Amazon replaced it. They do tend to disconnect from Google Home every few months.

No deal on energy monitor version of the plug

What good does the smart switch do if your switch is already where it should be

Prolly because they require a neutral whereas the lutron does not and they charge a hefty premium for it. Plus they have that pico remote that has so many uses.

I have a good amount of Kasa plugs, including this one, and they've all been functional and reliable. I got this one hooked up to a Feit LED string light line I got at Costco. I have the dimmer function set to its lowest setting, and the lights still look great and give good ambiance. Like all smart plugs, you can use it to set up a schedule, so the lights automatically come on at sundown and turn off at like 11ish. I love it when stuff like this truly is set it and don't think about it anymore.

Lutron regular switches sure do require a neutral. I think the dimmers still don't. I learned this recently. Not sure why I need to pay $60 for a smart switch that needs a neutral
