S20 fe seems like the best trade if you can get a good condition refurb for around $225 on Amazon. They lowered the value of s21 which was trading for $800 last week.

Note: The special Trade-in values only work when you do the deal in the store.

BUT to reserve one when they are low on stock, I have done as follows:

Order online for pickup. when you arrive, see a Cellular associate, not the normal cashier pickup method as they are clueless.
Explain your situation. They need to go get the new phone that is being held for you.
First, they will need to cancel the online transaction.
Next, they start over with the in-store Samsung trade promotion deal.
They have not found any way to adjust the original transaction at my BB stores.

The potential downside is you need to complete the deal while the sale is still on and hopefully before any more possible trade-in value drops.
Note: Your original payment refund for the canceled order will take a few days to be returned to your card.

This promotion is only good for in store. Because they will take your trade in phone right away. If there's stock on phone you want, they will give it to u right away. But if there's no stock. U have to wait till they ship it to u. So prepare to back up your phone before going to store.

I just tried to trade in my Note 20 ultra and it doesn't even show 600(reduced value) or 800(mentioned value in the link of the OP). It shows just 200 trade in value. Am I missing something?

Ooh, I have the S20 FE. Got it last year on Black Friday for $250 unlocked, no contract at Walmart.
