Non-TotalTech Members price is $249.99. I have had this since 2018. So far so good!

You must not live in a cold weather area. Being able to start up your car while inside, when your car is covered in snow, and freezing cold. That's the use case.

Insane deal! I think the best this has ever been was $120 2 years ago. I've got this installed on 4 cars so far, and it has never failed me.

I see amazon also has a sale for 172.98 but it looks like a different model. Is the best buy version better?

I have an old Clifford remote start on my 2004 ram. It sucks. Do you think the install would include disabling the old remote start?

They added $12.99 for Voxx Electronics - Relay Assembly Kit - Black
Is that for everyone or just an optional item?

Works well enough. Best Buy installation is a crapshoot. Tell them to utilize the full function of the remote device. For example auxiliary keys to activate the rear windshield defroster, since some cars need that to be physically triggered as opposed to the front windshield which is usually automatic if you leave that defroster on when you exit the vehicle.

Also keep in mind that the remote starting process itself will trigger the check engine light and in some cases the VSC or slip indicator lights to flash, sometimes regularly, in some vehicles. Something about the O2 sensor not playing nice with this remote starting mechanism. With that said the device has worked nicely for 2 winters now.

I purchased this last year it works well. I would recommend it. The location I went to did a great job with the information and were very quick. My only recommendation would be to order this now and set your appointment soon as the slots fill up fast in colder climate areas.

It's nice in Arizona to cool the car off as well.
💯 we are also in AZ and after getting one installed a few years ago I don't know how we lived without it for so long. Totally worth the relatively small cost.

Great deal if you need it. Otherwise wait for the LTE drone package. Depending where you are, interference can severely reduce range. The parking lot from my work building is separated by huge steel utility poles. I can stand literally 50ft away with clear line of sight to my car and the signal will not reach the car as long as I'm behind the poles.
Drone package was on sale for 300 about a week ago or so, I snapped it real quick. Their installation dates are pretty backed up though

Just bought TT, seemed like a good deal for me, $100 to upgrade for a year, will probably come in handy. $200 membership, or $250 without. $140 with TT and $200 to upgrade.

I don't know why many stores don't offer installation anymore. Not available in Arizona.
Staffing I would assume. Who wants near min wage to do that kind of work that requires a lot of training knowledge and risk? Totaltech making it worse by making it too cheap to get installs

If buying more than 1, use separate transactions. I bought 3 items last week that are all on-sale now...as I was told I could adjust if went on sale. When I tried I was told they can only apply 1 price match adjustment. I would have to return the other 2 and repurchase at sale price. A huge waste of time and irritation.
Unless whatever you bought has the serial numbers on the receipt, just buy two more at the sale price, then return them with the original receipt. I've had customer service folks elsewhere do that for me before when policy wouldn't let them price match stuff that later went on sale during the return period. Didn't even make me jump through the hoops of taking it out of the store and bringing it back -- just rang up the new sale, then immediately did a return with the earlier receipt. YMMV, etc.
