You must not live in a cold weather area. Being able to start up your car while inside, when your car is covered in snow, and freezing cold. That's the use case.

Insane deal! I think the best this has ever been was $120 2 years ago. I've got this installed on 4 cars so far, and it has never failed me.

Does anyone with knowledge on this starter know why it wouldn't work with 2018 Traverse. I tried calling 2 different Best Buys but no one was able to actually give me an answer why it wouldn't work. It just says on site not compatible.

Best Buy will not install remote starts on manual transmissions. Compustar remote starts are compatible with manual transmissions but require a host of safety features installed for it to work.

This is BS on Best Buys part!! They should have clear knowledge on the product that sell/installs. Furthermore, I assumed you are a TT member if you're inquiring about it. If so, is this how they should treat their TT members...tell you it's on you if it doesn't work!! What kind of BS is that?!!

This should be a question for BB tech to answer. But I get the feeling that won't be a le to give you one cuz, half the time, they are clueless.This is another reason why I don't do business with BB.

I also have a TT membership. I am willing to help out anyone that wants it. I am really spooked on someone not paying up so I can place the order and then I would get receive the money and we can stay in contact through cell until after your installation is finished (enough time for me to cash it out so that there is no funny business).

My 2016 Ford Expedition already has remote start from the key fob but not close to 3000 feet range like this one. Other than increased range is there any additional benefit for getting this?

I really want to be able to start the car when I am in the mall for example. I don't think this system has that kind of range. I'd probably need a system that utilizes satellites.

I had worked with the bestbuy installer where I lived , actually got to know him a little and if at the site it states it is not compatible , I go to the store directly and speak to him and he looks it up and was able to actually tell me if it is compatible or not, for some it only requires an extra key embedded in the car ,or it is a little complicated but can be done. you actually have to have your extra key part of the install like for volkswagon or just extra part. I had more than 15 friends and co workers installed remote start thru my TT membership. Been member for a few years now.

I live in Rockford ,IL , if anyone wants me to buy it for them and get it installed , I could work with you.

I did an online chat. Csr got it down to $120 with the total tech. Had to add a few module's for the car... Installed, for $141 out the door. Fantastic find!
